Rated 5 out of 5Â by will Really Cool Styling and Great Features
My wife picked this out for the looks. I chose it for am the features and the fact that Home Depot had the best price anywhere on this. We bought this for our living room and another Lifesmart for our bedroom. This is a very solid piece of furniture and matches today's dark wood tones really well. I like the electronics with the countdown timer so when we get home the room is already warm. We are also have used the fan only feature a few times and it works well. This heats our 900 square foot living room on the medium setting very well. We really enjoy buying Lifesmart products they always seem to work well and are a great value

Rated 5 out of 5Â by foxvalleyal Great Quiet Heater!
This heater does what it's supposed to. We recently built a 12' X 16' X 8' Porch with Weathermaster Windows. This Porch is not insulated and has open rafters. The Lifesmart Air Commander will heat 17-19 degrees F warmer than the temperature in the room and maintain it in a couple of hours. Now, these Midwest winters can get pretty cold so we added a 2nd 1500 watt heater. Winter came upon us early this year and temps dropped down to the low 20's. In 3 hours with both heaters running the temperature is up to 51 degrees F and still rising. I know I am pushing this heater way beyond what it's designed to do. These are designed as supplemental heaters and I am using it as a primary heating source and it is kicking butt! I can't comment on the efficiency yet as we have not received our electric bill yet. I like the oscillating fan on the top half of the heater that helps tremendously in distributing the heat throughout the room. Very quiet operation and also very appealing to the eye. Does not take up much space and can be set almost anywhere. I would buy this heater again. Excellent.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by nowine Look's great but lack's in heat output.
Very good looking and has some nice feature's, like you can program it to come on upto 9 hrs. or shut down. But comes up short on heat output. It has only 1 speed fan for high and low setting, I suppose if you leave it on the high setting for 24 hrs. a day it would come close to heating more than 500 s.f. Might be OK for a small office or bedroom. But 1000-1800 sf no way. I feel these type heater's are designed to be turned on and left on, very slow at heating up a 400 sf room. I'm returning this one.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Antony Decent purchase, poor temp controls though
Product shipped within a reasonable timeline, especially since it was free shipping. I don't think the ambient temp reading is accurate; it reads optimistic so that means you have to set it higher than expected. I don't like that the temperature has to drop a full 2 degrees below the setting before it turns back on. If I set it at 68 degrees, it waits until the room drops to 66 before turning back on. Other than that it works as described. But remember, a reading of 68 is more like 66 - 67 degrees actual room temp. So it gets pretty cold before turning back on. I currently keep it set to 70.
So does it heat? Yes but you're dumb if you think one of these will replace your primary source for any given area of the house. It is serving as a heat source for one of my dogs who has to sleep at the top of the stairs. He can't stay in my bedroom because my wife is allergic. It's a 3,500 sq ft house so I have the heat set low at night. He loves this heat source because it keeps his area above 67when the rest of the house drops to 64. Also, since it stays at the landing, any room that is unheated upstairs can suck the heat from the house when the door is opened. This hot zone serves as a buffer; the cold rooms pull hot air from this heat source rather than from heat downstairs.
