I bought this heater online last December and had it shipped to a family we sponsor on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, SD. It kept the room warm while it worked which wasn't very long. Now I have to find a replacement heater. These elders have so little; it would be nice to be able to send them a reliable heater. South Dakota weather is around 10 degrees right now.

It works .Keeps 600 square feet with an opening to downstairs at around 67 degrees . The opening is to my lower level in my house which is at 58 all day so there is a heat loss there . I use this heater so it comes on in the morning at same time that thermostat for house heat kicks on to bring temp up from 60 to 65 . Temp rises fast and I have been kicking back house thermo to 60 and letting this heater take over . Outside temps at around 30F and this heater keeps 67 inside without house heat coming on .This thing does what I want even with the heat loss down the stairs .Paid $80 with vet discount . Oh yeah ,unit set to 67 and room is 67!

I've returned several of these heaters now. They work fantastic when they're working but you'll get 6 months out of it at best until it throws an error code. Don't bother calling the manufacturer you'll get a voice mail and they won't call you back. The only positive is that they fail fast enough that returning to HD isn't a problem.

The heater arrived in good condition and earlier then I expected. The box says 1500 sq feet, but online it says 1200. In Reality it does not do that much. We have a small house, around 1200 sq feet and this heater does not keep whole house warm. However with a small heater in the living room, the front part of the house is pretty warm. I have small heaters in other rooms too. But I think without this heater the house would be really cold. I love that is stays cool to the touch. I think this heater would be idea for a house with an open floor plan. Don't get too excited about the remote. It's small cheap and mine didn't work at all.

During the cold weather, our family room was so cold. There was not a space heater to be had in town so I ordered this one from Home Depot. It was delivered in three days and all we did was plug it in. It warmed the room to a toasty 72 degrees in no time. It is very quiet and you don't even notice it is running. It rolls on wheels and the electrical cord is long enough that you can move the heater away from the wall. I would recommend this heater as a very good buy and very reasonably priced.

This heater is functional however, you need to fully understand the size of your room first. In a vaulted ceiling family room this heater is not quite as functional as an oil filled heater would be. Also at 1500 watts and a very quiet operation you can lose track of how long it is running. With increasing electric rates this can be rather expensive to run. Would be a much better unit if the fan was more powerful as it throws heat but not very far from the unit

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cgarr good supplemental heater
I have been running this heater fairly continuously since I purchased it about a month ago as a supplement to a kerosene heater. This heater makes the room feel cozy. As other people have stated, if you are looking for a primary heating source, this is not it. But as a supplemental source, it can take the chill away.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JR04 Helps cut use of oil heater
We bought this to "knock the chill off" in our living room, where we spend most of our time. And, where the thermostat is to our oil heater. Needless to say, oil heat is very expensive, and using this small heater has helped keep us warm in the living room, while not having the oil heater run as often.
