Hi Smitty,
I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for asking.
This cart is convertible from walk behind cart to a tow behind trailer, but it has no accommodation for a ball hitch.
The pin hitch allows you to use any lawn tractor, but it won't attach to a tow ball.
Thanks for visiting our site.

can this cart be dumped? and if so does the plastic tub stay attached or must it be picked up and reinstalled on the frame?

Answer:
The cart can be partially dumped if attached to yard-tractor. Full dump requires disconnect from tractor and manually lifting barrow to full upright position (can be heavy). Plastic tub is very durable and permanently affixed to the frame (i.e., stays attached).

Answer:
Yes, this cart can be dumped while attached to your riding lawn mower or tractor by pulling on the latch handle and tilting the tub backwards.

Trouble dumping

We are having trouble dumping the load whether it's as a wheelbarrow or yard cart. It doesn't want to tilt enough to actually get the stuff out of there. Any suggestions or a fix?

Answer:
This may or may not be a solution for you, but to fully dump the contents from the cart, I find it necessary to unhitch the cart from the lawn tractor, and then manually lift the cart by the handles to a vertical position. This often results in the front lip of the cart bending over, but it has been very durable, and has not broken.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 37 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tractor Trailer/wheelbarrow Really awesome lawn cart/trailer. Will haul a large load very easy. October 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just about perfect I bought this Lifetime Lawn Cart because I have a lawn tractor and a quad that I can hook it up to. It can haul a lot of product, wood, top soil, and mulch have all three been transported. The balance of the unit is quite amazing, if you have the proper tire pressure it will glide over any Terran. Easy to clean, very simple to switch from a cart you use like a wheel barrow to a trailer that you hitch to your lawn tractor. One issue which should explains the title, when you load the cart with a good size load you risk the latch releasing and dumping the content. To keep this from happening, I purchased a Velcro strap at one of the big box stores that I rap around the bar to keep it from accidentally releasing. I don't look at it as a negative because I would have taken that a precaution anyway. My neighbors have trailers and they have a wheel barrow, I have one that does both and they wish they were me. You will love it. February 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best yard equipment ever I've had this cart for five years. I love it. So versatile and sturdy. Great concept for one yard tool. Wheel barrow and yard cart. Easy to convert one to the other. September 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It is ok, but would expect a little more for the price I have used it as both a wheelbarrow and trailer. One improvement would be to countersigned the bolt heads so they do not get hit when shoveling out of the bed. I think in these will become damaged quickly. Need to beef up the front, when dumping as a wheelbarrow, the front will double under, I think with extended use this will become cracked and render it useless. When using as a lawn trailer, the spring catch comes undone easily, dumping the load before you reach your destination. I would recommend this product with reservations. July 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Firstt time use and it broke using it to move wood .. had cart loaded and went over uneven ground and back lip where it is curved ( dump end) must have flexed ? broke off entire curved area from left side to right side down about 1.5 inches. beside myself on this issue , Continued to use cart with no further issue ...... great cart , I think ?? I will have to "MacGyver" something for repair ... possibly poor design ?! May 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good So Far! Been giving it a good workout and it's handling the load. Easy to put together, but I did had a couple pieces of angle iron to the back where the handle bracket attaches, spreading the load across the plastic and added fender washers on all the bolts. It's a great size and really good balance. I'm happy so far! May 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great wheelbarrow We went with this wheelbarrow after reviewing the feedback on it. We are very glad we did. July 9, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice to pull behing garden tractor It was easy to assemble and appears to be well made an engineered. Works as a wheel barrow or pull behind. Hopefully it will last, since my old plastic wheel barrow split from the sun. Happy so far. April 29, 2014
