Answer:
We do not recommend altering the shed in any way. Alterations can void the warranty on the altered part. Also, the wall panels are 3/4" thick and there are air vents in the gables on the shed to allow air flow.

Answer:
We recommend either a cement foundation or a wooden frame foundation. The footprint of this model is 124.25"width x 244"depth. We recommend having a foundation that will fully support the entire floor of the shed.

11 ft. x 21 ft. Storage Building with 9 ft. Wide Carriage Door is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spacious Just got our Lifetime shed up last week. I have my garage back. This shed can fit the kitchen sink too! My only worry was the slight bowing in the extreme heat but the walls and roof are steel reinforced throughout so there shouldn't be any structural integrity lost. You will need 2 for install, this is not a 1 man job. Instructions are decent but it helps to have someone that knows a think or two about construction to help. Love the finished product! Oh and We bought 4 of the longer 9 ft shelves to put in the truses so we can store stuff up there too. Works beautifully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable & Maintenance Free I bought my first Lifetime shed 9 yrs ago, it was an 8x10. I bought one of these 11x21 sheds last year and I absolutely love it! Assembly is a bit daunting but as long as you have or can build a level foundation for it to sit on it's really worth it. The best advice I can give for assembly is to be patient, don't completely tighten all the screws in the framing until you have it put together. It's much easier to tweak that way. A second person is essential when you are setting the trusses in place. I built mine last year and have had no problems with leaking anywhere. I did not use any additional sealers - I just made sure all the pieces fit together well and then finished tightening everything. I would highly recommend this building!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Experience I bought the 21x11 shed which arrived today & I expect the install team to put it together this weekend. lets follow up in 10 days, 10 months & 10 yeas for my perfect review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instant storage! We needed extra storage, fast. It's extremely important to put this on level concrete and we already had the space. It is made in the USA and of high quality. We hired two contractors to put it together and it took 3 full days. It is put together with screws which must be hand tightened to avoid melting the plastic or stripping the holes. In addition, this is not thoroughly waterproof out the box, which we required. I sealed the outside of all the windows and skylights with 100% 2x stretch exterior silicone. It's raining now and everything is dry inside. It's attractive too - we are very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice we bought the 11x21 shed and its great. yes make sure your floor is level. read the instruction first and they are in Box 1 of 5. it took 2 of us over three days just because we didn't want anything missing. its a sturdy, nice looking shed. very happy with it. Now the down fall about it, you have to open every box for the floor. each box have 2-4 pieces of the flooring, each box has the walls and the roof. they should have had one box all the floor and 1 or 2 boxes the walls and the roof. it was a big mess in the yard. but oh well its up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Storage Building I really needed the extra space to store motorcycles and bicycles as my 10x12 garden shed just was not doing the job. This building was easy to assemble by myself and was only a fraction of the cost of a wood framed structure. The big bonus is it looks great too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy & spacious shed Read reviews of others, and it convinced me to purchase this shed, permits are a nonsense in my city (120sf & 8ft tall), but it was easy to install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shed I like my shed but here's some "heads-up" advice. The 11x21 comes in 7 really big and heavy boxes... have help available. The instructions are in box 5 and they are basically well written (nice change). As you take out your "parts boxes" from each and every box, label them from which box you got it from - that in itself will save you hours later, they did not label the parts bags well with the instructions. The pieces are packed to conserve shipping space, not to make your job easier : ( so you'll need space to unpack everything and put all the like pieces together. One change I would make in the instructions is for roof assembly... put the roof peak piece on as you complete each section...the directions have you putting the peak on afterwards. I would also recommend buying a "wind gust" chain for the single door... use some of the left over 1/4" bolts and nuts to attach. Our hinges almost broke off entirely with the first gust when it was completed. I'm a fairly mechanical homeowner, but it took me and 2 college kids 3 days to finish it (1pm-7pm, 10am-6pm, and 9am-5pm). And you do need to have at least 3 people working on it together! Good luck and have fun!
