Customer Questions & Answers

Does the construction design of this unit allow you to drive and store a lawn tractor/mower within?

Asked by: Anonymous
I would install a wood floor over the existing plastic and then you can. The doors open wide and leave lots of room for moving large items in and out. I have a full size table saw in mine on rollers and have no issues getting it in and out. Even painted the floor with deck paint and it looks great.

Is there a divider on the inside of the storage unit?

Have been looking for a shed with two access doors to use as a shared space between multiple groups. Do both sets of doors just lead into the whole shed, or is it possible to set up dividers inside the shed so multiple people can use the shed without having access to the whole shed?
Asked by: Anonymous
No divider, the doors just let you enter from different points in case a door is blocked.

15 ft. x 8 ft. Double Door Storage Shed is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 115.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Shed! Straight up ....12 hours to install. Directions were awful, just like others said...Everything has a number on the part itself but when you do the install guide page by page it goes to letters so there is back and forth trying to find out what they are talking about. Some directions are a bit vague. After you assemble all the trellises, doors and skylights, (about 3 hours) make sure you have enough daylight left, once you start putting up the walls you can't stop until you have the roof attached to some of the trellises to hold the walls more securely in place..they were to unstable (we thought) to let sit overnight in case of a storm blowing through, it would have collapsed the whole thing with one big wind gust. Once you start getting things in place it all falls together nicely. Comes in 3 HUGE boxes heavier than I ever thought it would be especially when you try to get them up steps with a hill (Kudos Home Depot). We made "stations" for parts and it seemed to help with staying organized. Do everything it tells you no matter how much you want to do something different (trellis..screw head IN the tracks)..everything has a reason and purpose even though it’s not clear until 5 pages later. I can say the worst part was the last thing we did and that was installing the shutters!! really...none of them lined up with the shed so we winged it! All and all it was a fun project even in the rain but I would not want to put another one together anytime soon!

The extra set of doors on the side is great to ride riding mower through (yes, it's wide enough). Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the doors wouldn't close initially. Apparently it's a glitch in the design, so installer had to order narrower borders where the hinges are. They came in a week, and that fixed the issue. Putting a concrete pad or wood down for proper flatness to put shed on is crucial, by the way (I put down concrete pad). Otherwise shed will not sit properly for putting together. 4 corner shelves, half moon bar to put shovels and such through, and long shelf are an added bonus. I definitely would recommend this shed, but I would not recommend trying to put this together yourself. Takes 2 people and it's at least an all day job, if not a day and a half.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't count on "professional" installation The shed itself is alright, it would probably be better had the installers actually done their job correctly. Installation was not complete until 1030 at night. Upon closer inspection during daylight hours there were multiple gaps in the roof section, numerous screws were loose or not in the right location, the wrong length of screw had been used in multiple locations causing those sections tof be unsecured to say the least. Would recommend just doing it yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it It was not difficult to assembly by following the instructions. between a friend and me built it in 8hrs. the quality is great and it resisted already a 60mph wind without problems. the only issue I find on it is that because is plastic when you put a screw to hold something the screw you have to be careful to insert it with constant preassure and not to fast. otherwise will make a bigger hole on the plastic and it will not hold what you want

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't expect the shed to be built in a day... The deliver folks put the very large and heavy crates right in the middle of my driveway making my driveway unusable until I could get the boxes destacked and moved. Not Lifetimes fault, but just a warning to make sure you are around when the deliver arrives!! Make no mistake, you need to build a very level base for this shed!! It can not be emphasized enough. It just won't come together if you do not. The black flooring looks simple enough, but be careful with the configuration as it is very confusing with respect to where your doors will be located and how the pieces should be placed. Expect to need two people for assembly. Have a third person that manages the directions and reads them carefully. My father and I assembled this shed and we are both aerospace engineers and I am also a aircraft mechanic and we still found a few gotchas along the way. It will take a significant amount of strength during parts of the construction. You will bang, punch, pull, twist, and put all your back into this construction project. There are a number of areas where you just have to scratch your head and take a guess as to what to do. Some areas just aren't too instructive. All-in-all, the instructions worked, the parts where their, and we built a shed that is usable for my: John Deer 140 tractor/mower, utility cart, two spreaders, self propelled mower, high pressure sprayer, wheel borrow, tools, etc... My garage is now free to put my cars into and I have a nice workbench :) This is not a project that you should expect to do on your own. Some parts yes, assembly NO! I can also say that it has survive a couple very strong storms as well as a snow storm that dropped close to 3 feet of snow with 60 mph wind gusts. That being said, you need to lock the shed to ensure the doors stay shut in the wind. The push button open/close mechanisms will not keep the doors closed on windy days. Best of luck on your shed project. David

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exellent shed I bought this shed in May and I could not be happier. It was easy to assemble and looks so impressive. This shed holds so much equipment that it easily replaced two old metal sheds. It is roomy and the skylights and windows give more than enough light into the shed. It is sturdy enough to withstand a recent hail and wind storm without so much as a scratch. I highly recommend this beautiful shed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shed is great This shed was better than I expected! It had more room than I thought because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to fit my 42 inch zero turn mower in it or that it would be a tight squeeze through the doors. But not only did it fit I had enough room to turn it around inside! Plus I still have a lot more room for my other mower and equipment

However, since I paid for installation that NEVER happened, I cannot endorse this purchase. Buy the shed from Amazon and install yourself. It took two of us a weekend to set it up.
