Paul, one person can assemble the shed, but it will be difficult. The walls are diificult to install as you need to raise the floor slightly to insert the wall pieces. This cannot be done alone.

Answer:
We recommend at least two adults to install and assemble the shed. But that being said, we do have an employee who has assembled an 8 ft shed by himself, so it is possible. He's quite tall, which would definitely be an advantage. He cautions, however, that one person assembly is slow going and pretty tricky.

I believe it can be done for Model #6446 (8' X 15'), although I had a couple of helpers for a few hours that made the job much easier and faster. Most of the work, however, I did myself. The shed is designed to put together from the inside, which is a real plus because I had two of the four walls right up against my house and no one could fit behind them to help me in any case. The only part of the job that absolutely requires another person is to hold the little window shutters in place from the outside so that you can screw them on from the inside. My wife helped me, and it only took a few minutes. These shutters are optional in that they only add to the decor of the front of the shed. Read Less

Yes it is possible. I installed 99% of this by myself. It is much easier with help, if only to help balance at least a few of the items.

I wouldn't recommend it !!! The stability of this wonderful shad would be compromised a great deal. Also recommend to strengthen the side panels with a metal 90 degree's angle for extra stability before installing the door panels.. I am very glad, I did!!! I have this for 3 years and very happy with it. Best regards Mattie

The total package weighs on the order of 750 lbs. and comes banded to a wooden pallet. Each of the 4 individual boxs weighs 150-200 lbs. It is difficult for 3 people to carry one box. If it is delivered to your drive-way you will probably need to unpack each box where it sits and move the parts a few at a time to your assembly location.

Answer:
It's delivered on one pallet all wrapped up with plastic. You would have to unwrap it and carry it piece by piece which is what a friend and I did. It took a while but it's really the only way because the pallet it way to heavy to lift by humans.

Being a residential delivery they delivered mine with a lift gate and the driver took them off of the pallet.
The boxes are heavy but could be handled by one person with a hand truck. I simply opened the boxes and transported them to the back piece by piece. Not a big deal. Hope this helps.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 214 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with the purchase Great experience overall - with a team of four people and motto "divide and conquer" - two people were going with the manual and assembling the elements together, while the other two started the flooring on a concrete pad, and was adding the walls. It took us 6-7 hours on a weekend day, plus lunch break. The shed is strong and spacious, has plenty of room for shelves and other organizers, and it looks really pretty. The windows can be opened but also have safety locks and can be closed. The construction allows for air flow so it is not too hot inside. Neutral colors are definitely a plus. Will buy it again for my next house :) June 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Shed Ever my neighbors are jealous. It holds everything and it looks good. Very pleased I paid the little extra for it. July 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good purchase. This was all around a great experience. I purchased the 15'/8' shed and added two 30" ext. for a 20'8' total shed. The shed with the added ext. was very easy to construct / put together. I completed the task in two days by myself. As seen in the photo I was pleased that the ext's could be placed on one side or one on each side of the doors. I was also pleased that the window panels could be located at the ends if necessary. Very well constructed. The key as all have stated is a level platform or surface. June 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dissappointed! As described by others the instructions were difficult to decipher. Then after an entire days work the next weekend we had a big snow storm and the wind blew the shed down. We felt like the little pig who had built his house of straw! It was suggested that it be bolted to the concrete pad but others had said they had no problem so we thought it would be okay for a few days until we could get back to it. Not the case. So now we have $1700 worth of plastic sitting on our patio waiting to be thrown out.! Not to mention broken shelving that was inside when it went down. We are now looking for something that will really last a lifeftime. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Shed Nice quality shed. I would have given 5 stars overall if it weren’t for the instructions and packaging of the hardware aspects of it. Really it is a correlation issue between the two. I’ve spent many years in manufacturing and created assembly methods for several of those years. There were errors and too many opportunities for interpretation. I was tempted to redline as I went but was already under the gun to get the work done. LifeTime, if you want to give me a free shed or give me some cash back on the one I bought, I will identify the errors and provide you with solutions to make them more user friendly! I am partially kidding. But, seriously, if you read the reviews, everyone complains about the hardware bags and instructions! So, LifeTime, this is an opportunity for improvement for you to go after to reach higher customer satisfaction. Overall though the shed is very nice. The parts and hardware are all of high quality. Once assembled, the shed feels quite stout. I built it by myself in windy conditions which posed some challenges (I used several large jigs to help hold walls upright until I could reach the point of a sturdy structure. But, once all walls are connected and, particularly the gables, top and trusses are all together, it is one integrated structure). May 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Outdoor Gardern Shed Just finish assembling my shed which take about 1 full day. The building appears to be quite sturdy. I'm sure it's more than enough shed for my tools and equipment. May 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great shed, good space It came in 3 large boxes and was fairly easy to follow directions. I wish I had leveled the wooden frame a little better, it would have made the assembly easier, but I was able to pull everything together, It was worth the $$$ and met my needs. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by large shed purchase and perfect for what I needed. The shed was good quality but the directions to assemble were hard to follow. I got on of these years ago and it was much easier to put together and I did it in less than one day by myself. This shed was about three feet longer but it took me and several others almost three days to assemble, even over a new cement slab. I would buy another one of these if the directions were shorter and easier to follow. Allan Hendricks August 9, 2016
