Asked by: Dino
It has a small keyed latch like those found on many "key safes" or light duty lock-boxes. Yes, it's lockable. I didn't weight the entire assembled unit before installation, but it took TWO MEN to hold it while I set it in position with SPAX construction screws. That's not because it's terribly heavy, but because of its awkward size. If I had to guess, I'd estimate the whole unit is about 70 pounds. The manufacturer could give you a more accurate spec! Good luck!

It might no be displaying Deal price if you are viewing it on a mobile app. I had this problem with Amazon on Prime Day and had to place orders from my PC.

I'm asking because I was wondering if I could mount a vice to the table and still be able to fold it up.
Asked by: JA
You have roughly 6.5" from the table top to the back wall when it is folded up.

47 in. L x 31 in. D x 60.5 - 71.5 in. H Wall-Mounted Folding Work Table is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed! This is a very solid and well built folding work table. It feels really heavy duty and made of quality materials and should last a lifetime in the DIYer's garage or workshop. To be honest it may also be suitable for a Pro. The instructions and youtube videos recommend installation by two adults and suggest an assembly time of 2 hours, but I was able to put it all together by myself and it took about 4 hours (across 2 days). During assembly there were a couple of frustrating moments where I couldn't exactly get the frame to fit perfectly such as lining up holes etc, but after taking a deep breath and concentrating on the task at hand things went just fine. The instructions are okay but I thought they should've included larger diagrams. The provided hardware is excellent and well labeled. Main assembly steps: - First you assemble the frame on the floor (see pic #3) using bolts and nuts. During all steps you should only hand tighten so that you continue to have flexibility to complete the installation. After completely assembling the frame you need to go over all the bolts and nuts to tighten them. - Then you mount the bracket on the wall (need two or three studs) just like you would mount a flat TV bracket. The provided lag screws are great and will hold this table up with no issue. You need to make sure the bracket is level. - Then you lift the assembled frame and hang it from the bracket just like you would hang a flat TV. - Then finish off by installing the table top, springs, leg extensions, etc. You can choose the table height you need from approx 35 inches to 42 inches, and I went with 37 inches. The adjustable legs also allow you to compensate for uneven floors and still get the table level. When closed, this table projects approx 10.5 inches from the wall so it's not exactly slim profile. A heavy duty latch keeps the table in the closed position. I found that engaging the latch to lock the table in the closed position requires a little more effort than I thought it would. Also when closed, the tools in the peg board are nicely covered/hidden, so I'm planning on removing some tools from my other wall panels to store them in this table. A good number of hooks were included. It takes 5 seconds to open this table and enjoy a surprisingly solid and sturdy work bench. You can easily access the tools from the included peg board. I was able to get it nice & level. It looks very neat in my garage. I don't give 5 stars unless a product exceeds my expectations, and this work table does!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High-quality, space saver for garage or shop It looked good in the photo, but is even better when you see and feel this thing in person. It arrives well packaged, which is good because it is heavy. That's because it's made of thick steel. Each part is accurately formed, with neat bends and perfectly aligned holes. The edges are all nicely de-burred so you can handle this with bare hands. All parts are consistently powder coated with a smooth black finish. Every part speaks of consistent quality control. Assembly is straightforward and easy, thanks to the LARGE print instructions on full sized 8.5" x 11" paper written in comprehensible English. All sections of the instructions are clearly labeled. All the small parts are collated on cards with LARGE labels so they are easy to count and use. They even have videos to show you how to assemble this which you can find at go.lifetime.com/worktable1. The instructions recommend having a helper to assemble this and I agree. It's much easier to lift this into position on the wall. I managed it myself using two 2x4 studs to help hold it in place as I attached the main unit. If you intend to move it up or down stairs, it is better to remove individual parts from the box and move them one or two at a time since the individual components are easily manageable. The top is made from solid wood about 3/4 inch thick and is VERY sturdy. I don't know what type of wood it is but it is very hard, stiff and stable due to its laminated construction. It is similar to the sturdy wood worktops we see on Husky tool cabinets, which are all very good. Once assembled with finger-tightened bolts and screws, you get it into position, then tighten everything up. You can do that with a hand driver, but I chose to use a small cordless driver for speed and comfort since there are many screws to tighten. Once assembled in position you can adjust the legs to a wide range of heights to suit your best working height. I did not know it when I ordered it, but there are many tool holders already built into the design, PLUS the "peg-board" style holes of the metal back-board. There is a space for attaching a light, which is a welcome accessory in a dark basement shop! They even thought to include a "wiring chase" so you can neatly pull wires for your lights through that and they don't get in the way. The springs are a bit noisy when you open or close it the first few times, which is true of all spring mechanisms like this. I applied a little wax to the bearing points and moved the table up and down to spread it around. Now it operates smoothly and quietly with very little effort. The spring assisted motion is necessary both for comfort and safety with such a heavy solid top. That's a welcome feature I did not know it had when I order it. Overall, this is VERY sturdy and well made. I love the size and neat appearance when folded up, and I love the large work surface when it is down. It's great having my most often-used tools all within easy reach. That's MUCH MUCH better than searching through several tool bags. Although it is never mentioned or shown in any photo or video, this has plenty of room for a trash can beneath it. I find having a trash can nearby is one of the most useful things ever in any shop near any workbench. I use this for opening boxes, assembling stuff, fixing stuff, doing light "honey-do list" items. In every case, there is always some trash generated by those operations, so because this large open area under this design accommodates a trash can, that mean much less work for me! I am VERY happy with the quality and appearance and functionality. This is a bargain for such a well made and thoughtfully designed bench. Plus it folds away neatly and hides my "works in progress" when I can't finish a job before guests come over! ;-) If you work in a small area as I do, or just want to make your garage look neater, this is a great choice. I might get another one for the garage, that’s how much I like it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great present, great additon for the garage! I originally decided to get this table as a present for Christmas for my husband, but now I think this was probably the best gift I could give myself instead. It is amazing how much this table has added to the organization in our garage and also aided in helping to keep things in place and easy to find. The table is very solid and heavy, yet still easily maneuverable from the closed to the open position. Now there is a space and place where in a 48 inch space I can keep all the tools I need around the house and yet still have a functioning garage for parking cars and motorcycles. The installation was quite simple also, definitely not a problem for any do it yourselfer. I am so glad I got this table!

But it did go together fairly easily (with the exception of getting parts reversed but in the end it only can go one way. The key was following the suggestion of not tightening the bolts till the end of the frame construction. It take two people to hang the unit once you attach the wall bracket (easy). Take note to heed the warning about not drilling through the top wood top when predrilling for the screws that go into the bottom of the wooden table. This is a Space saver and I'm glad I found it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good with some caveats Generally this table is a good compact workstation if you have limited space. It takes up about 48" of width on the wall, and if you put the table at a standard height of 36", the top shelf is about 5-1/2 feet high. The description shows the "Dimensions Closed" at 48", which is incorrect; the height does not change, and it is still 5-1/2 feet tall when closed. Construction is boxed 14 gauge steel with a few tube supports. The finish is a powdercoat, and seems pretty durable. Since it bolts to a wall, it gets additional rigidity from the wall. The main body is very solid once it is mounted. However, the legs are thin and spindly, and the table tends to wobble if you apply any heavy pressure to it, or if you put anything heavy on it. The table top is wood, but it is not a single homogenous piece. Mine consisted of 50 individual pieces that were finger joined. That's a lot of glue joints. Despite this, it was smooth and flat, and felt solid. Assembly was straightforward, but several of the holes were misaligned and required drilling. The whole thing 'hangs' on the wall and requires a sturdy wall. The legs have infinite height adjustment, so you don't have to be exact in your height measurement on the wall, which is a plus. My biggest disappointment came when I hung up my tools and closed the table - I realized that you can't access your tools unless the table is down. For me, that meant lost storage space. If you install this on the side garage wall where you park a car, you won't be able to get your tools unless you move the car. If you only use the tools when you use the table, then this will work for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I am very impressed with the work bench. It is very well made and easy to put together. Watch the videos along with the instructions. I really like that it hangs on the wall and only sticks out 10 inches from the wall. I made sure I hung the hanger on 3 studs since the unit weighs 112 pounds empty. Also, with my 10% discount and the special of the day I only paid $135 plus tax.

A good product, but note that this "Wall-mounted" folding work table is not intended for the walls of a Lifetime shed. It is intended to be mounted to a studded wall, using the provided ~3" lag bolts which will not work with the shed walls. I was able to mount it inside a Lifetime shed using a dozen or so of the ~3/4" self tapping screws left over from assembly of the shed.
