Answer:
All metal rails. It comes with the allen wrench needed, I used a nut driver head on a cordless drill also but a socket or a simple adjustable wrench would work to tighten the nuts down, just slows to process down.

On level ground I couldnt imagine it turning over at all. Wide at the bottom and narrow at the top, impossible to turn over. We have 2-3 kids all over it at the same time and it hasnt moved an inch from where we sat it up at.

We dug a small trench around the dome and put the bottom rail in the trench and then covered it with dirt....after packing the dirt down the dome does not move at all and won't tip over. I think your kids will love it!

Answer:
I would say the box weight was about 100 pounds, but it was delivered by Fed-Ex. It can be moved by 1 person with the straps it has on it...but not easily. 2 people would be best. Box is cardboard, so if you move it too much, it starts to fall apart. I think the box said it could hold up to 600 pounds of kids. I am about 200 pounds and played on it...I couldn't even get it to sway.

Answer:
The 100 lb. boxed product feels crazy-heavy for its size and is awkward to carry. My husband was able to move it by himself from the garage to the backyard, but it wasn't easy. Once assembled, it is actually very easy for two adults to move the dome around the yard.
The maximum allowable weight on the structure is 600 lbs.

I would like to put something under the dome in case a child falls. Where can I get some of that playground rubber or gymnastics padding to lay the dome on. I bought my granddaughter and would like to have something under it besides the hard ground

5 ft. Earth Tone Dome Climber is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality I bought this about 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. My son (4) climbs all over it. I love that it supports up to 600lbs. I climb it with him! I love how big this is too, 5ft high, and 10ft diameter. Plenty of room for many kids. Instructions were easy to follow, and didn't take long to build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hours of fun When our daughter purchased her own home - we surprised our grandchildren with this. They have enjoyed climbing on our geo-dome whenever they come visit. They were very excited to get one of their own. It is easy to put together, and holds up well. We have owned ours for over 5 years. I foresee many years of fun for all our grandchildren. We own the red / blue one and we purchased the Earthtone one for my daughters house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter spends hours on it My daughter discovered this climber at a friends house. She pretty much spent the entire party dangling and climbing. Before I knew it the climber was purchased and set up on our lawn where it continues to be climbed upon. It's now the go to toy for both kids (5 and 2). I would not hesitate to recommend This and I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun! Fun! and more Fun! About 5 years ago we bought this for our grandchildren to play on when they came to our house. They have had so much fun playing on it. Earlier this year we bought a second one for one of our daughters when she recently bought a house. Easy to put together and has held up well with all the different weather conditions in the snowy North.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality & we love love love it! The kids love to play on this. The intersection hand holds make it very safe and easy for them to use. It's a great addition to our playground for the grandkids. The quality is terrific. We purchased the A-Frame playground and Airplane teeter totter because they will last a "lifetime".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Assemble My husband, myself, and our teen put this together is under two hours. First, we read through the instructions so we got the overall idea, then once we got the pattern going, it was easy. Very sturdy and inviting. The bolts and nuts are high quality stainless steel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great addition to our Lifetime backyard After purchasing the earthtone swing set and Adventure Tower Deluxe, we had to get this awesome climbing dome. I mean, come on...it matches! Plus, our kids love it and it gives them one more fun thing to do outside instead of making bigger messes in our house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble - easy to move The instructions were pretty straightforward and the parts were all marked. I was able to get it assembled in one evening. When moving, I find it easiest to get inside and lift from the top of the dome. This helps it to maintain its shape as well.
