Worried that teenagers will try to set fires on it and will try to break it, can it be chained into the ground and is the weight of this heavy enough to prevent it from getting picked up and moved around?

This picnic table does not have a pre-drilled umbrella hole, but it is designed with a designated spot on the bottom of the tabletop through which the customer can easily drill an umbrella hole if they would like one.

Durable enough to leave outside during snowy winters?

My parents have a wooden picnic table that they leave outside year round, but we can't use it because it gives everyone splinters. I'd like to give them something splinter free that wouldn't need to be brought inside for the winter.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 77 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT TABLE. Bought the table when it was on sale as deal of the day. Arrived in just a few days. I put it together by myself in about 30 mins. There were two pieces missing and one plastic bushing appeared to have cracked, none of which prevented me from assembling the table. I contacted Lifetime customer support and they shipped me the replacement parts free of charge. Table seems really solid. The benches are a bit narrow but I imagine its a fair trade off to be able to fold the table and store it flat. I intend to leave it up throughout the spring/summer/fall and put it away for the winter. First family party is next week and this table is going to fulfill a need in a big way. June 5, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Picnic Tables Easy to assemble. So far they are just what I needed for my commercial office building. Time will tell how well they hold up to every day use and weather. May 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good table for the price. Best deal in an 8 foot table but I wouldn't call it commercial grade. To me, commercial grade would mean two marines with full packs could do jumping jacks on it with no ill effect. It's just not that heavy duty. Don't misunderstand, it is a good quality 8 foot picnic table that seems like it will last a few years, and the fold up for winter storage feature is a plus. The plastic surfaces are easy to clean with a garden hose. My only real complaint would be that it's a little too slick. A stiff wind will slide the mustard and catsup right over the edge but a table cloth will take care of that problem. Overall a good 8 foot table that requires zero maintenance. July 14, 2015
