I have 8 grandchildren ages 1-9. Could this be used as a playhouse? Regular playhouses I've looked at are too small.

Can this be built from the inside or would I need room to walk around it to put it together?

I have 8' 4" width from my side of my home to a fence and am wondering if this shed could be squeezed in there.
Asked by: Muggsman
Walk around and you need two people for the roof.

broken pieces...bought 2nd hand..where to order parts from..what are the model numbers?

I recently bought a similar Lifetime shed from a man that was loosing his house. While taking it apart the roof fell in and some screws broke out (leaving a square piece of plastic missing around several screws about a 1/2inch X 1/2inch in size) do I fix this? Also where would the model number be located on the shed? Where could I get a parts list/instruction manual? Thank you for all the help!!

We were told that it would be very easy to was a 3 day nightmare even though I had two professional construction people working on it. It took one day to build a wood subfloor to help level it and keep it off the bare took another day and a half to actually construct the shed which was missing a lot of hardware that we had to purchase from the local hardware store. That said...the shed looks very nice now that it is complete. I'm not convinced that it will be water tight. And it looks like snow will blow under the doors.

You need to have a base built or holes will not line up. Too many people rated this low because they didn't build a base. With 4 people this took about 7 hours to build in one day. Putting the roof on can get a little tricky, just be patient and it should work out great. I also drilled the floor to my wooden base for extra security. I am only giving this 4 stars right now because I have not been through the winter yet with it. It is a great product and very sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to build on flat ground Pros: Relatively easy to build, looks good, nice features Cons: Surface must be extremely level, instructions are sketchy in a few places First, nowhere in the sales literature does it mention that you must build a base for this structure. There are two recommended bases: cement and wood. A 4" slab would cost almost as much as the structure. Either you'd pay someone to pour it or you'd need to rent a mixer and do it yourself. Either way, it's expensive. The alternative (wood) cost me $250. Note to self, don't build this in the rain. The ground must be absolutely level under a wood platform or getting things to line up is a...I'll keep it clean, but use your imagination. Many of the screws go into plastic. If you use an electric device to insert these, set the torque low because they strip easily. Assuming you don't strip too many, the structure seems to be fairly stable once you get the roof on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lifetime shed Have owned this shed for about a year and a half. It was missing parts and some were bent. Lifetime was quick to replace, but replace ment parts came in bent again due to poor packaging. Door latch design is poor. Door unlatches on its own with wind vibration. Lifetime's fix was to add a screw under slide latch to give it more pressure, which will only wear out soon. I modified latch to make it work properly. Sky light are too dark to let enough light in, they should be clear or white. I wanted a shed that I didn't have to shingle or paint. We will see how well it holds up in the future, it's ok so far.

It seems sturdy, durable and weather resistant. We designed and constructed a wooden platform for the shed. All parts and hardware were included in the shipping boxes (2). Each box weighs more than 250 pounds. The instructions are systematic. Each section shows the tools, parts, and hardware necessary to assemble that section. There are instances where the illustrations are ambiguous--the picture does not always show which way the part should face in relation to other parts. The wall sections are easily inserted into the floor slots, but the corner sections are difficult to install. A bracket system would have been more effective instead of the tab- into-slot configuration. There are online videos which are mostly helpful, when the video pertains to the identical shed that the user purchased. Construction requires at least 2 persons; three are recommended. We tried our best, but two corners simply do not align at a 90 degree angle. The front doors close and lock, so it's good enough for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shed Great overall product. Only shortfall is the doors. Perhaps better engineering and all around framing system. Even on perfectly level concrete slab doors are still flimsy and substandard as compared to rest of components.
