I have 8 grandchildren ages 1-9. Could this be used as a playhouse? Regular playhouses I've looked at are too small.

It can be built from the inside (the walls), as long as you can get you hand to place that wood piece under the lock in slots-(wall tabs into floor slots)...this is needed to make sure the tabs lock into the slots well. Build the roof on the house side first working from the inside also.
Since you have 8' 4'' from house to fence...that's 100 inches..the foundation/base is only 93.5 inches wide #94" Read More

Since you have 8' 4'' from house to fence...that's 100 inches..the foundation/base is only 93.5 inches wide #94" total#. So you have three inches on each side to work with....can be done.
The roof has a over hang from walls and total width is 95.5 inches..so its best to have the base closer to the fence then the house with only 100 inches to work with width wise.
I had a tight space on the right side near my deck..and I put up the walls # right side only# from the inside since I could reach the area for the wood spacer to use for tab to slot lockin...I did my shed by myself...but best to use two persons.
Your shed will be in a tight place..think of snow on it or any fire codes having it so close to house...good luck if no other place to install it. Read Less

I recently bought a similar Lifetime shed from a man that was loosing his house. While taking it apart the roof fell in and some screws broke out (leaving a square piece of plastic missing around several screws about a 1/2inch X 1/2inch in size)..how do I fix this? Also where would the model number be located on the shed? Where could I get a parts list/instruction manual? Thank you for all the help!!

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 177 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I LOVE it! Perfect to store eBay inventory. I bought this shed to use for my eBay inventory. It has weathered several storms without any leaks or problems. My 16 year old and I put it together in two days. I'm very happy with it. The shipping was fast too. April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great! Everything was great except putting the corners together and the "concrete screws" they suggested. That would be my complaint. The last corner just did not want to go together at all. Very aggravating! I put my shed on a concrete pad like directions suggested. However, the instructions call for a 5/16" masonry drill bit and 3/8" "concrete screws". Good luck finding 3/8" x 2" concrete screws. I tried 5 places in town and no one had them!! The closest any hardware store has is "concrete anchor BOLTS". Nothing like they have in the picture. Complete disaster and waste of time trying to install them. So I ended up getting 5/16" x 2.5" concrete sleeve anchors - they enlarge/open at the bottom when you turn the nut. So much easier and the instructions should have recommended them! After making hole use hammer to tap them down into place and then tighten nut. I used extra 1" washer like they called for. So if you are installing on concrete I highly recommend you get the concrete anchor sleeves instead!! If it wasn't for the corners being hard to install and the concrete screws they suggested I would have rated this shed 5 stars. November 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not wat I expected on the shed quality The tool shed is nice shaped, the plastic does not hold the screws, 50% of the screws stripped in the plastic leaving panels without support, there is no support on the side walls panels so they are very loose, the doors are too big and they won't close all the way very out of alignment especially when is hot plastic expands about 1 inch and so the doors they have to stay open. I regret buying the house, over $1000.00 bad spend, when I called the company for suggestions on these issues the guy said that I can fill up the screw thread holes with calking so the screws will stay in place. I can't imagine holding a structure with caulking, what a funny joke, me been a building contractor and getting that kind of answer was not so good. They were suppose to send new doors to see if they will fit better and never did, they never responded to the information they requested so I'm stacked with the problem. They needed to send a new shed to remedy the problem so that all the screws grab the walls and roof, and compensate for thermal expansion on the plastic so that the doors fit. I will not consider buying this product again, unless the company have a remedy for these problems and replace shed with one that works. April 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Sturdy After All I was very skeptical about how sturdy this thing would be. To my surprise this shed turned out to be even more solid than I expected. Another worry I had was putting it together. The instructions recomend two people and another to read the instructions. I did not have that luxury but found it still very doable by my self. It just took longer. August 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Versatile and Durable Although it's only been two weeks since we assembled this product, I am very impressed! The folks at Lifetime made things easier by having pre-drilled holes and fairly thorough assembly instructions. The main thing to keep in mind is that YOU MUST have a squared, leveled concrete pad or wooden platform for the building to sit on in order for the holes and panels to match up. Assembly is a two-person job (preferably three), and one of the assemblers should have knowledge and experience with construction in case you encounter the inevitable bump in the road. As for my experience, it went fairly smooth because of the care and attention we gave the wooden platform prior to assembly of the shed. I went into the building after the first rain....no leaks! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good structured shed I ordered this shed after careful research and reading reviews. I selected this particular shed because of its low maintenance , great price compared to other companies offering the same shed and its size. It was delivered right to my house in two very large boxes . I was to build the shed on a cement pad that I had poured. I viewed the short video that gave instructions on how to build this shed, this was very helpful. Myself and my brother in law took everything out of the boxes and placed them accordingly. It took us 12 hours to complete the shed . The instructions were rather difficult to follow and the parts were not labeled from reading the instructions. But overall it was pretty easy to put up ! I would definitely recommend this shed ! I ordered extra shelves for my shed from Home Depot . I'm very pleased with this shed. June 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Product was a very good buy but it could be even better. I was satisfied with the purchase and would recommend. There were 2 things that should be done to improve this kit. 1) The instructions were acceptable and could be easily followed. What would be better is if the parts list, the parts identified in the actual instruction steps, and the number stamped on the part itself were all the same. They were not and that slowed things down a little. 2) The plastic around the screw holes needs to be heavier. The instructions indicated not to use a powered screw driver. The screw holes could be easily stripped even when a regular screw driver was used. Need to be real careful September 6, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Shed, Easy to put together This is a great shed, and pretty easy to put together. Myself and my wife put this together in a total of 5 hours. We had a level concrete pad to install it on. I'm not sure you would have much success installing on ground that wasn't perfectly level. Everything is labeled properly and the instructions are very easy to read. Do NOT leave the panels, accessories out in the sun prior to installation as they will warp and bend making installation much more difficult. Shed is very sturdy and seems very tough and able to withstand all weather scenarios. I got it while it was on sale for $999 and its worth every dime. Best to install with 2 people, but 1 very capable male/female could do it by themselves. June 11, 2012
