Customer Questions & Answers

can you mount this on a wood floor.

if i build a wood floor with 2x4s and 3/4'' plywood set on 4x4 runners, can I mount the building to this.

So to the Lifetime representative, the only thing possibly holding the shed to the platform would be 4 screws in each of the corners?

Actually if the door is on the end I would be erecting on side against a brick wall. Is this do able?

Sorry to not have looked at the picture better before I asked my question

It would be difficult to inset the panels on the brick side and also to attach the roof.

Can the doors and windows be in the back rather than the ends? Then, can a slit opening be cut in the front almost the length of the shed?h

Clearwater Audubon is planing to build a bird blind and your product,if adaptable, might be just what we are looking for. If this can be made we could show pictures of the blind at various ornithological meetings here in Florida.

The door can only be installed in front or back, but the windows can be installed in the back and anywhere on either side wall. All the vertical panels are the same size. if it is installed in the back the shelves will be in front of the window.

Can this be built against a solid brick wall?

I need to be able to have the back of this against or no more than about 3 " from a solid brick wall. Can the back be put together and then stood up in place without access to the back side?
Asked by: Anonymous
You do need to be on the outside to snap wall panels to the floor, however, you should be able to install the back panels with the floor away from your brick wall then slide floor into position.

I put it together by myself in slightly more than 1 day so clipping in the panels was occasionally difficult. I would be more comfortable with the overall design if the building came with stabilizers from the top of the panel to the deck (mine is on a platform. The windows are a bit of a problem to operate but , all-in-all, I'm satisfied so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All in all a good buy A good sturdy shed that you won't have to paint every few years. It was fairly easy to set up. I had 2 friends help me and we completed it in about 6 hours. I highly recommend having 3 people working on it. One will stand around occasionally, but for parts you really need 3. The directions are adequate, but because it is only pictures and no words, you can miss a step, or put something on backwards, but it doesn't take long to figure out your mistake. A good shed and looks nice, but it could use to have some more accessories, like wall mounts for hanging tools. Make sure you have a good solid base built for it to set it up on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy We have had ours (8X20) up for just about three months now, lots of storage space, have recommended to friends and family, a great investment. Looks great, not an eyesore, love the two windows with the shutters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks good. great value put my shed on a wood platform w/concrete blocks for a foundation. make sure it's all level. i did all the construction alone except for the walls. i used a pry bar to snap the walls to the floor. the shims just didn't cut it. stick pry bar under floor at the cut out, use your foot to push pry bar down and pull down on the top of the wall. you'll need help with the doors and the peaks. did the roof alone. directions suck so think things through and read ahead. you'll need 4 bolts w/washers for the floor. not included. it's at the end of directions. just remember to be level or the doors won't line up. oh! don't go crazy if the top of the walls don't line up perfectly. it won't matter. took me 2 full days doing it with my wife's help on walls, doors & peaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, value, and ease of setup - Great Product! Unfortunately the prior owners of my house left a 'death pit' on the side of the house with no use I could think of. Decided a shed would do the trick, and after a lot of research decided this shed would fit the area and be of great use. Took 3 guys a little over 4 hours to complete the whole install including caulking around all the bottom edges. Add a couple hours to build the frame. Can't say enough how happy I am with this shed, and how much more sturdy is than I originally thought. Definitely would recommend this anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice, sturdy building, just what I needed. First off I replaced an old metal building I had on a concrete pad. I loved how this building put together except for one thing, attaching the wall sections to the floor. I finally used a grab bar to lift up the floor section to snap in, corners could be difficult. Beyond this the rest was a snap, a two man job if you have your parts out, separated and open bags only for the next task outlined. I put both windows on one side since it was installed next to the house. This beat, hands down, placing a building or building one yourself, cost wise and time wise. You'll get a sturdy, no rust, no paint building that should last for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy but so sturdy! As we assembled the shed, we thought it felt a little weak. As we finished it proved to be extremely sturdy and very well made. It's been through two major rains and no leaks! A+!
