Does this get delivered put together or must the buyer put it together?

How complicated is it to put together?
Asked by: Anonymous
This shed does not come preassembled. The instructions are written for the average customer to be able to understand, but you may also choose to hire a professional handyman to assemble it for you. At least two people are required and it is usually an all-day process. Here is a link to the shed instructions so that you can see exactly how it is assembled.

I have limited space due to a fence. How wide is each door? And what is the width of the shed with the doors fully open?

Asked by: Trish
Each door measures 29 1/4" W. When the doors are fully opened they extend past the shed by roughly an extra foot.

My townhouse lacks storage. I am considering having someone build me a shed. Can this shed be used to store home items not lawn items and tools.

Asked by: Anonymous
Shed stays dry, however, humidity, rodents and other outdoor pests... shed does not protect against these. You should consider climate control for upholstered and any valuable furnishings or paperwork. Great for lawn furniture!

8 ft. x 5 ft. Outdoor Storage Shed is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Shed Stores more than it looks when you first put it together. I was able to put it together by myself in a couple of afternoons with some creativity. Good quality, everything aligned properly. Should last for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made, sturdy shed We have a small 66" section of space we thought we'd have to custom build. Thanks to Lifetime and their Awesome Black Friday sale we are already in business with a roomy 8x5' (perfect ) sized shed. It is so nice looking it matches the siding on the rest of the house! My husband and I built it on 2 separate occasions due to getting rained out. So we built all the doors, trusses & gables the first day. A few days later we had the whole thing up in about 2 hours. Everything fits snug and all parts were there. No damage to the panels. It all came in 2 large boxes on private shipping company truck. They worked with us for delivering at a convenient time. All in all, I love my new shed. Can't wait to get shopping for the accessories now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sturdy shed! I have owned this shed for over 5 years and it has been an excellent investment. I keep it at one of my rentals to hold yard equipment and it is still in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs! This shed has been great for my needs and has not disappointed me. I bought a 8’x5’ shed for my first home and when we sold our home a few years later and moved into our new one I was really kicking myself for not taking the effort to bring it with me so I bought another one. I really like this size of a shed because it is low profile enough not to get in the way of the yard but big enough to fit what I need in it. I put it together by myself with the exception of two steps when I had my wife hold something while I screwed a piece into place and it took me roughly five and a half hours. The instructions were easy to follow and they provided a lot of extra hardware in the kit just in case so that was nice. I placed my shed on a homemade skid foundation and screwed it down in each corner with a washer for extra strength and with all the windstorms here and at my last home I have never been nervous about it blowing over. I currently have a snow blower, lawnmower, wheelbarrow, stack of tires and some other various yard tools in my 8’x5’ shed and it all fits comfortably. What I like about the newer model over the older one is the latching system for the door, it feels more secure and stable compared to the older model. I also like the window on the side and in the doors as well as the skylight that allows so much light in. My last older model didn’t have any windows and if felt like a cave but that is not the case with this newer model. I also like the air vent that allows hot air to escape and prevents it from getting too hot inside and yet prevents bugs from getting in. For a shed this size and at this price it has been exceptional. I have received several complements on the color and design of it from neighbors and family and they always are shocked with how much can fit into it. It really frees up my garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product and easy to put together I must say, after reading a bunch of reviews I chose this item with confidence. I can't express enough how important it is to build a sturdy and leveled floor/frame prior to building this shed; it's makes all the difference when putting everything together, as pieces will not line up properly if you don't. I built this shed by myself in under 4 hours. If you have any sort of hands-on working experience and follow the instructions it really shouldn't take much longer than that. Hardest part to do by yourself is to install the doors... a couple extra hands could help. I highly recommend a power driver as there are a ton of screws. USE A VERY LOW CLUTCH SETTING as the plastic is very easy to strip. The panel thickness and rigidity are inconsistent, where some are much easier to strip the plastic than others. I found using the lowest setting to initially set the screw into place, then going back with a regular screw driver to tighten worked best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Shed Yesterday I put the shed together myself in about 10 hours. It would have been easier to have an extra pair of hands to help but as a previous reviewer mentioned, it can be done by one person, with patience and tenacity! I'm very impressed by the quality of the materials, as well as the engineering and design of the shed itself. I believe this shed should last a good long time. The only negative I can share relates to the graphics/sketches in the directions. At times, they were too small or unclear, making it difficult to identify some of the many, many parts, especially at the beginning. But, overall, the directions were clearly written and accurate. In the end, I believe you can't miss with this shed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tips to assemble, Great small shed I love this shed. First make sure base is level. Read over all directions first. I assembled door handles and gables first. Also the metal roof support. When I tried to insert panels into slots they wouldn't budge. My solution was to put a little vaseline on the bottom nub and they snapped right in. The doors you may need 3 people. Getting the cotter pin lined up with the holes is tough. Roof went on easily. Can all be done By standing inside shed. Even sky lights done from inside. They have little handle type things to pull them inward. All holes lined up. Don't over tighten. Don't need a drill. Can be done in a day.
