We've had this for several years and it still provides a lot of fun for our family and the neighborhood. The set is solidly built, my only "complaint" would be the metal base (inside the plastic) leaves rust stains on the concrete. I did have one ball that would not hold air, after about 5 minutes in the store I walked away with a replacement at no charge. They definitely stand by their product name!

My kids love this. We set it up during the summer not far from the basketball hoop. They go back and forth between the two and come up with fun games. Ah the imagination of kids! I do wish the base were just a bit larger. When the adults hop in and play we can get a little crazy and I think a heavier base would help. Other than that this is the perfect pairing for a swing set, dome climber, or basketball hoop.

Looks great, but it's a Christmas gift and not yet tested.

My kids love the tetherball set. Good old fashioned outdoor, non-electronic, non-battery fun! Lifetime has produced a quality product that was easy to assemble. I did it myself with the help of my children. Love the portability! I would have given it five stars except that the holes provided to fill it with sand are very small, and it took a LONG time to fill. I see no reason why those holes couldn't be made bigger, or the base design changed somehow to more quickly accept the sand Lifetime recommended we fill it with. Overall, I give it a thumbs up!

I have personally not used it, but my 11 year old son and his friends have been beating on it for a couple months now and it is holding up well. It appears a bit wobbly, but my son says it is fine and he is comparing it to a professional - cemented into the ground- version at his summer camp. It was a little tricky to put together and a couple of key pieces (plate to base connection) did not fit together quite right so that is why it is slightly unstable. Occasionally the top piece comes loose and the screw needs to be tightened. Also, I place some heavy objects on the base to make it less wobbly, but this of course makes it less portable. My son really likes it so I have to give it 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars if it was more stable, but maybe this is the best you can get out of a portable unit. Time will tell how well it holds up.

This is the best tether ball system I have ever seen. The kids love it, and the adults can play with it, too. It holds up to the best of players. We put water in the base, but I might try the sand, in case the water does evaporate some. It is one of our playground equipment that is always in use. Be sure to not over inflate the ball. We did and had to replace the ball. The ball is a professional ball.

Although we've only had our tetherball set a couple of weeks, it's had a lot of play time with middle school age children. Assembly was done by a 13 year old. Great purchase that provides something different to do right outside the back door. Glad I didn't mess around with an old tire and cement for a homemade tetherball set after seeing that Home Depot had the best price!

I purchased this for my 10 year old son to have something "different" to play outside. He and his friends (and myself) have had a lot of fun and get a great workout. It definitely requires a second person, or a third hand, to assemble as you have to balance the pole in the base while laying it down to screw it together.
