We purchased two Lifetime Adirondack simulated wood chairs last year and they sat outside all winter and held up real well. This year, we purchases our second set. The construction of these chairs is much better than other brands I have seen that cost the same or are even higher priced.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PapawJeff I think its going to be fine, but it had broken pieces from the manufacturer.
It went together relatively easy. I used the supplied hex wrench as over tightening is an issue with this material. (Two of the pre-asembled pieces were cracked when I removed it from the box).
I put a little super glue on the broken parts and went on with assembly, Ill get parts shipped to me later.(I had no breakage issue with my assembly
The chair looks good and has a very sturdy feel to it when you sit and get up from the chair.
My wife and I are both 5'5" and find the chair to be very comfortable
The chair material is polystyrene and the screws are stainless steel, so maintenance should be just keep the screws tightened (but not too tight) and wash it with the water hose.
I cant wait until we get to put them to the durability test this summer and see how it holds up to daily use and the weather.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Aroyals looks like wood, but without the maintenance!
My husband and I put this chair together in about 30 minutes, and it was fairly easy. The kit came with a metric sized allen wrench, and we didnt have that size for our impact. Putting the entire chair together by tightening every screw with the allen wrench by hand would have take forever. So my huband ended up using the grinding wheel to cut the handle off the allen wrench so we could put it in the drill and make assembly much faster. Of course we did have to be careful not to over-tighten any of the screws but this definitely made the process much easier.
As far as the chair itself, the material almost looks like real wood, and in fact people who have come over and seen it believe that it is real until I tell them that it's not! I love the fact that this chair is virtually maintenance free. As long as you keep chewing pups away from it, this chair should last years and still look like new. I'm not a huge fan of the natural wood color, I personally prefer the white but this is purely a personal preference. I did have a friend ask when I was going to stain it, but I told her that is the finished color of the chair.
In our household we are always worried about chairs holding up because my husband is 6'5 and 240lbs. He has been sitting in this chair for a week now and he said is feels very sturdy and secure. The chair is so comfortable, the only thing we are going to add is a cup holder, because we just want to lounge in these out on the porch. We will definitely be getting another three of these to complete our set out on the barn porch!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JerryY Easy to assemble, comfortable chair
I'm outdoorsy so I like having plenty of seating outside for family and friends to sit by the pool or chiminea. Sometimes we'll even watch the TV on the patio.
My decision to choose this chair is that it has the wood look but isn't so it wont rot or need continuous maintenance.
Assembly of this chair was easy. If you think a picture is worth a thousand words you'll love the manual because its mostly pictures. The base and back of the chair come pre-assembled except 2 slats you have to put on the back on each side.
Holes are pre-drilled and the correct side is counter sunk so its fairly obvious which side is which. This can be completely installed with an Allen key which is included. Be sure not to over tighten the screws. They should be flush not sunk in. Be gentle if using power tools because it doesn't take much force to turn the screws.
The chair is comfortable to sit in and is not too low or too high so kids can use it as well. My 3 year old had no problem climbing into and sitting in the chair. Its not heavy but not light and sturdy so its not likely to tip over on its side.
My main con is it seems like this material is easy to scratch so I might put some pads on the bottom to keep people from dragging it on the patio. To a lesser extent I thought some of the wholes didn't quite line up. It wasn't way off but took some pushing and pulling to get some of the holes lined up.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dcmikez Great, beautiful chair. Exceeded all expectations.
I have to start by saying I was very happily surprised by this chair.
When I ordered a "plastic" chair I was expecting it to be made of material similar to plastic decking. i.e. obviously made from plastic with fake wood grain etched into it.
This chair is nothing like that. It is beautifully constructed of a material that really looks like a tropical wood to the casual viewer. It has a nice grain and is very sturdy. (I tried flexing some of the pieces to test this and was not able to flex them, though I didn't exert too much pressure because I didn't want to warp or break a piece).
The chair came shipped in a very well packaged box and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It comes with stainless steel hardware so rusting shouldn't be an issue. The chair was partially assembled and it took me about an hour to put it together completely. Let me say I'm an expert at assembling these types of things and it still took an hour to assemble mainly because it only came with a small allen wrench for assembly. My hands hurt a lot by the time I finished this. The material is pre-drilled but is very sturdy so it took quite a bit of force to get the bolts secured tightly. Make sure you don't over tighten them as they will pull through the material.
The color is very light as you can see in the photo. I've taken a photo of it next to one of our wooden teak chairs for a color comparison. It's closer to a sand color than the reddish color of teak or other tropical woods.
The only thing I would suggest is that they ship it with an allen socket as well as the wrench to make assembly easier. If I purchase another one (likely to do this in the spring) I'll get an allen socket set for assembly. (a socket is necessary because a T handle wouldn't fit when you have to attache the legs and arm rests.

Bought these chairs about 2 years ago after having gone through several other products. We live in New Hampshire and have these chairs on our front lawn.
We've left these chairs out for 2 New England winters and they look like the day
we bought them!! I can't say enough about them and would buy them again.
