Customer Questions & Answers

Does the fixture come with a bulb or are bulbs sold separately?

Asked by: MikeS
it comes with the required bulb. if you are handy and the fixture is still good after a couple years, you can opt to change the bulb out yourself. these are not high end lights and they are not water tight. however my ranch hand taped them at the seam and that helped keep the water out. we use several of these lights on the ranch and have had mixed results. got a defective batch several years ago but for the most part it is a very efficient light and inexpensive to operate. keep your receipt and exchange it if it doesn't perform as anticipated.

Where is the photocell located?

Can you please tell me where the photo cell is located on the fixture. Is it on the long 8.12" part of the fixture or on the wide 6.25" part of the fixture?
Asked by: Cathy
the photocell is located on the top of the light ---on the long side

What is dispersion angle of light output?

I need to know the approximate dispersion angle of the light output, both horizontally and, if available, vertically. I need a light with at least a 120 deg. angle horizontally and 45 deg. vertically. Thanks.
Asked by: Eli
my light is mounted on a tree and is about 18 ft off ground. it is positioned to face downward and outward and the light is cast a good 20 feet plus and illuminates the entire area. i'm sorry i don't fully understand your question but i hope this helps

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 99onlineshopping I had 2 lights put in over a year ago, one went out a couple months ago and one went out last week. Should last much longer for total expense that went into them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product and Maintenance I use these in Key West, they replaced 500 watts quartz fixtures. High maint. and electric bill with the 500 watts quartz. Installed 20 of the Lights of America 65 watts fixtures in 2005 and when installed properly with plastic clips they do not leak. They are still in service and have only replaced 12 light bulbs and 2 fixtures. They operate from dust til dawn.
