Answer:
Hello,
The best recommendation is to apply the Moss Out Spot Treater to the moss covered area. Once the moss has turned black rake it out and then sow your new seed. It is best to avoid using any weed, moss or insect killing product on new seed.
Thank you

Plant grass seed after the area has been cleared. Treat the area with lime to adjust the pH of the soil so that grass will thrive and moss will decline.

Hello,
Moss Out Spot Treater should not be applied to roofs. We would recommend you look into Moss Out for Roofs and Walks. It is available at Home Depot in a 32oz. "hose n' go" variety (SKU# 951-838) and a 54oz. concentrate (SKU# 951-817).
Thank you

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 19 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice, but not permanent My back yard is shaded by both my house and some tall pine trees. It's also very humid after raining. That's where moss started to grow several years ago. My lawn care co can't do anything, and it's impossible to simply rack it all out. Then I found Moss Out, and it works nice and fast. The moss turned brown in couple of days, and died out. The problem is, it keeps coming back, and I have to re-applt again and again. As a conclusion, it's effective, but not a long term solution. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic! I put this stuff on the mossy spots in my lawn earlier this afternoon, then I turned the sprinkler on for an hour. It is now 8:15 p.m. on the same day, and all the moss is dead. SAME DAY results! Totally awesome product, buy it right now. June 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moss problem cured! I have been battling lawn moss for years with different products. Finally found a product that works. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moss out Easy to use, works fast, great product. Will kill miss on any surface May 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 6-days later, no improvement Applied it when soil temp had reached 50s on moist moss. The moss has been bright green and growing with no competition during the winter here in MD. Applied it heavily by hand the day of a light rain (Sunday). Air temps were in the 40s the following week and had a heavy rain the following Thurs. it's now Sat and I still see no effect at all. Directions don't specify temperature requirements and I assume that since moss is spreading and bright green that it is growing despite freezing nighttime temps. Very disappointed. I wanted to remove moss and reseed while the grass is still cut close and not growing. Will try again when weather gets warmer and I see grass growing. Very disappointed so far. Will update review if results improve. February 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked for Me! I had no grass on the north side of my house just moss. Now the moss is gone by shaking this on and giving it a good raking. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moss out is great I have tried multiple "cures" for moss in my grass and this stuff is the bomb. I tried the spray product and it did nothing. After one application of Moss Out the offending plant was toasted. Croaked the Moss and let the grass grow. Great December 8, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not that good. Only a little moss turned black and died, and the effort to get it up was about the same as raking up live moss. Save time, money, effort, and chemical exposure and just attack the live stuff. September 24, 2015
