Lincoln Electric Inner shield 0.030 in. NR211 Flux-Cored Welding Wire is a versatile wire suitable for all-position welding of light gauge or thin plate. Recommended for maximum plate thicknesses in the range of 7.9 mm (5/16 in.) to 12.7 mm (1/2 in.). It has low spatter for smooth performance and great weld appearance.

  • Easy slag removal
  • Fast freezing characteristics accommodate poor fit-up
  • Typical applications include galvanized sheet metal and sheet or thin gauge metal
  • Also great for robotic/hard automation and general fabrication

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works OK but spattered more than I expected I am used to MIG welding using CO2 gas and non flux wire and tried this for the first time with a new 140 AMP 110V welder from Home Depot. I am far from a 'professional' welder but have done enough auto restoration projects to be able to lay down a decent-ish seam of weld that will hold reasonably well. It seems to work well when I was welding two pieces of 1/4" steel plate together for a gate keeper however when I tried to weld some thin wall tube and turned down the voltage to avoid burning holes in the tubing, it spattered more than I would have expected. This could be one of the downsides of using a flux cored wire instead of a straight wire/gas set up or also because I may have needed a smaller .024 gauge wire for the thinner walled tube. Either way, it seems to weld well with less spatter on higher voltages and thicker metal. August 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality Worked well. Used to attach rocker pannels to a Silverado. Much better than the wire that came with my Pitsberg Welder. September 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Got Rusty Unused spool in original packaging got rusty on one side of the spool after a few years, next to the HF spool that is still shiny. Was hoping the Lincoln wire would be better - had to trash the whole spool and wasted a few hours trying to figure out the problem. The rusty wire jams at the tip no matter how high the friction on the drive roller. HF wire worked better. July 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Some good stuff My first time using this wire. I'm using it on my HF 90 amp Flux core welder. My beads come out a lot nicer now after switching over to this stuff. The penetration is a bit better and there is less spatter. I'm hobby welding on a budget at this moment so I don't know if I'll be purchasing this again after I run out. You can't see my welds on the stuff I build so not too concerned about bead appearance. When work picks up, I'll gladly buy another spool of this stuff. October 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good wire overall I have been using this wire since 2002, gone thru several spools. The cost isnt great but the quality is. Ive found, with my cheapy little flux-core welder, it does not like the lower amperage settings, tends to spatter and not give consistent penetration. It works excellent when i turn it up to the max though. I have not tried it in my Millermatic 135 yet, its set up on C-25 gas. May 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing spectacular Using this for general repair (plow frames, exhausts, etc.). Works like any other flux core that I've used except this actually jammed up in my Miller Millermatic 211 a few times. Even several spools of Harbor Freight wire has never done that. I won't ding it too hard for that since it was exceptionally cold when it happened. Will see what happens when it warms up. December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good wire for when gas can't be. used. Good wire, but why is the .030 more expensive than .035 wire? April 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent product The wire worked very good . I used it to build a fence . April 7, 2015
