CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 50 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very tickled to have this thing. I have never been so pleased at buying a piece of equipment in my life. This thing is cool. I can weld stuff now for Pete sake. lol Spend an hour reading the manual for basic welding technics and your off.. I welded 1/8 inch metal to 1/4 inch without problems. Tested the welds with a 6 lb sledge all held fine. My wife may have to hide this thing from me or I may weld stuff she doesn't want welded. =D February 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LINCOLN WELD PACK HD I bought this for portability and convenience instead of having to drag a full size MIG and bottle around and for its 115V power requirement instead of 230V. Breaking it down, this is NOT a welder capable of butter smooth welds like using an actual MIG with an Argon blend. This is a wire feed unit so you should expect considerable spatter - because it uses flux core wire. Does it do the job? YES. It works well outside and in windy conditions. The welding "shield" that comes with it is CHINE5E junk as is the brush / hammer so toss these and get an auto darkening helmet. OVERALL this is a GOOD unit if you need a small welder for small jobs. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice little welder So far I've used this to: - Extend bed rails to make a twin bed into a twin XL - Fix a drawer in a filing cabinet where a spot weld failed - Reattach a rod on the foot board of a wrought iron bed frame The ability to do the latter surprised me. I thought it might be beyond the little machine's capability, as the iron rod was a good 3/8ths or more in diameter, and I was reattaching it to something even bigger than that. But it did the job just fine. It's great that it uses 110V rather than 220V. My little work shed isn't wired for 220V, so this is a great option. I'm a DIYer who hasn't welded anything for 30 years, and I was able to use this well enough after reading the manual and practicing a little. May 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Welder Bought one because i wanted to learn. I needed to weld in new floor pans and my exhaust in my 69 camaro SS. After a couple of practices I jumped right in. Easy to set up and even easier to use. Floor pans and exhaust came out perfect. Note... wear gloves after welding and picking up exhaust. Went on to weld a steel gate for my friends property and weld a steel deer stand for his father. Excellent product!! June 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Great Little Machine This is a great little unit. It covers all those small jobs and a couple big ones also. BUT, Lincoln messes up the good review by what they included. The HAND HELD EYE SHIELD is one of the cheapest pieces of junk I have ever seen. A company as big as this really lowers themselves supplying JUNK to the customer. April 4, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Initial Review I gave this machine only 4 stars because I've never used a flux cored machine before and I'm not sure exactly what I have yet, but so far I'm very impressed. Everything that was supposed to be in the box was in the box. Everything worked fine and the instructions were easy to read. All machine parts are labeled in the owners manual so it's easy if you want to learn how to use this machine for beginners. I am a certified stick welder so I know what good looking welds are supposed to look like. I had no problems understanding the directions. I took my time and got used to the names of all the parts. I spent an hour reading through the manual and followed the step by step directions. So far, I am impressed with this machine. It looks to be built sturdy. I'll update again in 6 months or so. I think if the low quality shield and wire brush with the lenses were left out of this package, it would make this machine a better buy. I think any beginner needs 2 hands anyway and that shield requires you to hold it with 1 hand and that is a bit rediculous, and anyone who knows how to weld already has a good shield of their own. I would have liked to see no shield, no wire brush, and a cheaper price. December 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great for up to .25 mild steel Even though the manufacturer states that this welder is only good for up to .125 steel I just welded two .25 inch plates together. Granted, it was a lap joint, but I was Impressed none the less. April 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great beginning welder The welder takes a few minutes to warm up, which is fine. It is a beginners welder and is easy to use. March 24, 2015
