802.11ac AC 1750 HD Video Pro Smart Wi-Fi Router is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its works great! A few notes though... I bought these because it said it was 3x faster than Wireless-N. I have experienced faster wi-fi speeds. But not that much different. I do like that it supports up to 7 devices, that is way more than my old wifi router. But Im not sure its worth the cost. It advertises a smart Wi-Fi which really is just the IP address connection. Nothing my old router couldnt do. I guess I expected more, but its a router. Not a smartphone. I do wish the interface was a little bit more modern. It still feels outdated and not intuitive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fix for will not connect I realize that most of the reviews are old and so is this router. Once every few months, I will have to re-power the cable modem to fix a problem - or move my connection to the cable router back to the top of the stack to get performance back. When I 1st installed it, if I ever lost the connection between the cable modem (a Cisco) and this EA6500 (a Linksys by Cisco) it would not reconnect. I would have to pull the power connection for both the router and the cable modem, then plug the power back in at the same time. It worked. Then a few years ago, I updated the EA6500 to the latest flash software. That fixed the connection problem and the router would now re-connect to the modem after either box has been re-powered. So if you are getting the connection problem, try the power on both at the same time and then UPDATE THE SOFTWARE.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Range I have been using this router for several weeks. I am disappointed in it's range. I have it in my study where it works fine. If I go into the next room I loose signal. If itry to connect there it tells me "Cannot connect to this network." Much poorer signal than a five year old router that I replaced thinking it would be an upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use features Bought the router a few months ago to replace an aging cranky one that we finally had enough with! Didn't quite know what to expect with this brand bit it has proven to be one of a kind. Honestly don't think we have had to reboot since hooking it up! The old one was horrible and had to be reboot 3 times a day or more! Absolutely love all the features and the smart phone app is a breeze to navigate. Definitely recommend to just about anyone for any use out there!! They have earned my business for life that's for sure.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from All newer linksys products have been depressing! The ea6500 isnt any better than the ea6300 i had, the parental controls for specific time do not work still!! Im back to my old ea3500 which so far is still the best!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I agree with Rebekah I have the same issues with mine. When it runs, it runs well on the 5GHz band. I was getting 1.3 Gbps with my AC1750 wireless network card in my desktop. Although, even after one of many router resets, I could watch the signal strength diminish over time with this router until there was no connectivity available at all on the 5GHz. At any rate, I would lose the 5GHz band at least once per day (not counting when I had to reset it for the signal loss on the 2.4GHz band). On the 2.4GHz band, the signal was even more sporadic. The signal strength would diminish and drop altogether many times a day. At first, I thought there might be some form of interference messing with this router. To test this, I swapped this router out with my old low-cost wireless-N router (also operating on the 2.4 and 5GHz bands) and the N-router works without issue. As a matter of fact, I've been running for 2 months with my N-router and have not had to reset it once. I have about twenty years of experience running routers in a home and professional environment and haven't seen anything like this issue in any wireless device so I hope a firmware fix can take care of it. For now, I have to say it's the most unreliable wireless device I've personally used to date. The lack of reliability is entirely the reason for my one-star review. I'm keeping it hoping a firmware update will fix the connection drops. I trust that Linksys will make this right.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Installation Quagmire I have installed a variety of computer and electronic equipment but my experience with this unit has me on the verge of returning it and I don't think I should have to pay an additional charge to have it done for me. Kenneth Dyrud
