Long Broom Handle

One customer review said he added a long broom handle to the brush. How do you do this?
Asked by: MsJulie
The Linzer 5" brush has a socket in the end of the handle to accept any screw type handle i.e., paint roller, push broom, etc.

My 200 sqft deck needed two coats of stain, only got through one before this brush disintegrated. The bristles fell right out of the handle and a chunk came out. It happened part way through the second coat, so I couldn't stop (otherwise stain would dry and show obvious lines). Ended up doing the entire second coat on my hands and knees with a tiny paintbrush I luckily had. I've done a ton of paint and stain jobs and never had a brush fail so violently and so quickly. I do not recommend this product.

Was used to stain logs with Thompson's water based stain. Bristles began to fall out one at a time, by the time staining done, bristles were falling out in clumps. Not much remained of this brush at projects end. Somewhat of a cheaper price brush, thus was disposable in its cost. It got the job done.

It saved time and my back and I got many compliments when I should everyone my work. Thanks again Linzer and Home Depot for a quality product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for one (only) use This brush started out well, and the first stain application of our deck went down great (water based transparent stain). After the days work was complete, I cleaned the brush like my dad taught me 20 years ago. The next day - coat 2- the bristles started soft, but by the end of the application, they were falling off all over.

I've used it to stain a fence and was able to knock out 3-4 panels at a time. Held the stain well but did notice a few bristles come loose. It's a pretty big and thick brush so it's a little awkward when using but it sure beats a small brush and when a roller is not available.

The brush component fell out of the handle from a poor glue job. It was not a repair, reglue job either. Looking at other brushes of the same batch, they all appeared poorly made. I don't recommend this at all!
