Answer:
It will work fine with it, but as stated in my review this brush started falling apart the 2nd time I used it and cleaned it. I think it is junk.

One customer review said he added a long broom handle to the brush. How do you do this?

Answer:
It has a hole on the end that accepts extension poles. If you have a broom that has the broom head screw off, then you could use the pole w/ this brush.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product I had a one-year old 32'x16' cedar deck that needed its first staining (I let it age for a year) and was researching the best way to stain it. The general internet consensus was that regardless of the application method, such as spraying, I would still need to brush in the stain so I started to look at brushes and found this one at HD, great price and held up well to the double coat that I put on the deck and the brush is still in great condition. I did dip it directly into the 1 gallon stain can and it was a tight fit that flared out some of the side bristles but this could have been easily avoided if I wasn't so lazy and poured the stain into a larger container. I also purchased a very inexpensive 2'-5' adjustable painter's extension pole that screwed into the brush handle so I could paint standing up instead down on my knees and that was worth its weight in gold June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Superior Back-Brushing Deck Stain Brush This Back-Brush is the secret to an outstanding deck staining project. To be honest, it would be impossible to stain a deck properly without this tool. The pole screws right into the handle, no more lost handles by having to take the handle off before screwing the pole in. Most retail stores don't have a back-brush and those that do have the wrong type, the wrong size or the wrong price. This is probably the biggest reason, other than the great team at the Stanleyville store, that I keep coming back to Home Depot. I probably purchase 6 to 10 a month. I wish you had it in contractor's bundles? Thanks. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best for deck staining What I love about this brush is it can be attached to an extension pole so you can stain the deck boards getting the edges and cutting into the house without being on your knees. It gives you very good control and applies an ample amount of stain right where you want it can also be used to do the flats and top of the railings. I also use this brush in conjunction with Airless spray system to brush the stain into textured clapboard siding it works very well. September 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by one or two use item This brush is good for staining decks but the bristle gets pretty eaten up after a few hours of use. To be fair, my deck is about 900 sq ft. We purchased 2 brushes and both experienced the same problem. Both of the brush bristles started getting eaten up fast but the biggest issue I have with these brushes are the housings. Initially, the bristles were wearing out but then the housing started separating from the handle. The problem is the nail that holds the housing was falling out making this brush a one or two time use item. For the money, it is more expensive than a regular brush but you can re use the other brushes more than one or two times. The quality could be better but then again, in this throw away society, nothing is made to last. August 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best brush out there I stain a lot of decks and this is the only brush that I use. It is rare that you reuse a deck brush. The quality is great. The price is half of what you find elsewhere.you use it and throw it away. It is wider than most brushes and gives a great finish . September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the $ I used it to retouch my wood floors with the floor staining product. It worked very well! August 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Started falling apart after 2nd use! This brush was working fine for me, but the 2nd time I used it the nails holding the brush onto the handle had started falling out, and when I went to clean it after my 2nd use bristles were coming out all over my hand as I rinsed it. Not just a few but a lot of bristles came out. I returned this and got a Wooster stain brush. August 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by First time purchase Applied stain easily with good coverage. Only good for one time use. Did not clean up good as per instructions and could not use for second application. August 9, 2016
