The Linzer 5" brush has a socket in the end of the handle to accept any screw type handle i.e., paint roller, push broom, etc.

5 in. Flat Stain Block Brush is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 127.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great brush wished it held together Great brush for spreading Thompson waterseal stain on my 1500 sq ft deck unfortunately I had 2 brushes fail on me. The glue used to anchor the the brush in the metal holder gave way and the whole thing fell apart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bristles fell out I bought this brush for staining my deck. It worked great at holding stain and providing even application. After a day of use the bristles began falling out and i was constantly having to pick them off the deck and out of the stain. After cleaning the brush, chunks of bristles began falling out. At $10 for the brush, I would expecbetter quality. I will be returning this brush at my next visit to Home Depot. For reference I used the brush with Behr all in on deck stain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One and Done Brush was a good size for staining deck. Brush construction is poor. Bristles began to come out immediately. Afterwards, I attempted to clean the brush and the bristles came out in clumps and then fell completely out of the ferrule. Straight to the garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best brush out there I stain a lot of decks and this is the only brush that I use. It is rare that you reuse a deck brush. The quality is great. The price is half of what you find elsewhere.you use it and throw it away. It is wider than most brushes and gives a great finish .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The good and the bad This product looks good and does a great job of applying the stain. The first coat of stain i applied it worked really well and was doing a great job. However, once i started apply the second coat this brush starting leaving bristles. At first it was one or two here and there, but then it started breaking off in clumps of 5 -10 bristles. I would go up one in cost and hope that i get better results next time. As is said it still applies the stain well, but with having to pick out bristles it was a pain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best for deck staining What I love about this brush is it can be attached to an extension pole so you can stain the deck boards getting the edges and cutting into the house without being on your knees. It gives you very good control and applies an ample amount of stain right where you want it can also be used to do the flats and top of the railings. I also use this brush in conjunction with Airless spray system to brush the stain into textured clapboard siding it works very well.

I used the block brush to lay several coats of oil based stain on an older deck. I have used pads and rollers before, but much prefer the brush because of its ability to go into the grooves of the wood and also to keep from making the spludge marks caused by pushing. The only drawback is that you have to make sure it is not dipped up to the hilt in the product or the bristle glue will fail and the bristles fall out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good brush, but... Overall, I thought this was a pretty decent brush. The stain went on well and formed a nice smooth coat. One issue I had though was during the first few boards, the brush seemed to lose a fair number of bristles on the wood which had to be picked up. It seemed to get better after that though.
