If I could give negative stars for this product is would. I read bad reviews about this product and I thought it can't be that bad but I was wrong! It does not set up like the manufacturer claims and basically ruined part of my project. Home depot should review this product and trash it. My advice is stear clear of it and don't make the same mistake I did!

I bought the heavy duty stuff to do a small interior project. Using it for a thin stone vaneer stuck to wood. After 48 hours it is still not dry and all the vaneer is falling off the wall. You touch it and still just as wet as when it was applied. What a terrible product. Looking at the other reviews I am not the only one with this problem. What a waste of my time.

I have used Liquid nails for over 15 years , the heavy duty that is tan colored. It always worked great and my projects are holding up well. This new formula, that is white in color is almost worthless on outdoor brick paver projects, although the container reads the same it is NOT the same. I am very disappointed in this product and will not ever buy again.

It just dried up and the paneling popped off. Terrible stuff. Waste of money. Im thinking I ought to sue them for being such a waste of time and money. I wish I could take 3 stars from them.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Patman bad labeling bad product
I have used adhesives before and though I usually hate using "consumer" products, I thought I would give this a try.
I was gluing down solid oak stair treads to a plywood base and knew all I needed was a non-water based, non-latex type product.
Nowhere on this package does it state that this is latex, so I figured I was good to go. However, sure enough, it ruined 12 solid oak custom made stair treads.
They each cupped about 1/4" down the middle. About 700 dollars and 3 days of hard work down the drain. Not to mention the labor of pulling them up and starting over.
All liquid nails products are labelled for sales to the homeowner type, making him think that he can use the product for anything. Oh and the stuff takes forever to dry. I should have know better than to fall for a catchy name and advertising. Liquid nails is all advertising. The instructions aren't even readable to the naked eye. Oh and did I say, the stuff takes forever to dry.

Follow the directions and this product does exactly what it is intended to do without any issues. I used Liquid Nails to put up a dartboard in my basement 20 years ago.
Patman, this product is NOT latex, The LN-903 is the latex version. LN-901 is solvent, hence the warning information all over the tube.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TheConstructionAcademy Liquid Nails, More Like Liquid Puddy
I have used LocTite's PL Premium brand construction adhesive for subfloor and other general construction projects. I was in a rush at the counter and I decided to give the Liquid Nails product a try, HUGE MISTAKE. I applied the product and put the clamps on my project, waited 24 hours, still not dry. Waited 48 hours, still not dry. It was the consistency of silly puddy. Furious, I returned the product and bought the PL Premium. After scraping the Liquid Nails off with a puddy knife, I applied the PL Premium and in 24 hours, hard as a rock. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT.

I have been a commercial roofer for over 30 years, and have come across a number of circumstances where I have used Liquid Nails. I also build at home, Tables, benches, cooktops, railings...etc. and found that the liquid nails is easy to use from the caulk gun, tacks up nicely, and makes everything you build ROCK solid, no matter how many nails or screws you use, Liquid nails is 100% adhesive on all you joints, I have used it on aluminum thresholds to concrete at the store, and it stood up to heavy loads and hand trucks rolling over it from deliveries! It's Great stuff for a wide variety uses!!
