How to insert diffuser without cracking it

How does one remove and replace this type of diffuser without cracking it. I have cracked mine. I will be ordering a new diffuser. I don't want to break this one trying to insert it. It's like they don't fit but I know they do.
Asked by: llogar
most fixtures have a screw on the end take it out and the frame drops down then just place the diffuser into the frame and lift back into place and replace the screw.

Attaching the difuser

The difuser that I'm replacing was held on by plastic clips, (a real pain in the --- to get on}. Does this difuser just snap over the entire fixture or does it sanp into the inner edge? Hoping there aren't any clips to hassle with.
Asked by: Kodiak49
The included instruction, which showed a photo typical of my existing fixture (a set-screw on one end of the frame), required dropping the frame on one end and then sliding the lens "over and in" to prevent breakage. Was a perfect fit, though a pain.
