There are 3 small clips that hinge out from the sides of the fixture near the ceiling. Mine were grey in color. Be sure to keep your hand under the white dome as it will easily come down once those are released. Once the dome is removed, simply unplug the flourescent tubes ( 2 in each light ), pull down gently to unsnap from metal brackets. Plug in new tubes and re-snap into place. Follow the wiring instructions. White to white, black to black and ground to ground. The hardest part is you need a partner to hold the light while you wire it. MAKER SURE THE BREAKER IS OFF!

Knowing what I do about the design of this product, I would not recommend outdoor use. It would not last 3 months outside. Better off looking for a fixture that is exterior rated.

Answer:
I have had one of these fixtures for 15 years. The ballasts fail about every five years. I go back to Home Depot and buy another fixture and cannibalize the ballast, bulbs and in one case the lens which was sturdier and had better fastening than previous or subsequent versions. The lens on the current version is paper thin and cracks up easily when installing .

Answer:
The ballast you would need to purchase for this fixture is an Energy Pro electronic ballast, model TLE 72, this can either be purchased online or through an electrical supply house, I have found locating them online seems to be the most efficient way of getting a replacement.
Hope this helps!

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kitchen fixture light installs easily.... globe is a little awkward because it is tight to the ceiling... but once in looks better because it is a low profile fixture... globe is thin plastic and fragile... September 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kitchen light The light fixture is good for the price and fits well in the kitchen. I had to return it and reordered because the plastic cover had a crack. September 13, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by beautiful fixture - frail lens. I purchased 2 of these fixtures to put in my kitchen. I found out that the lens for the fixture is paper thin and I busted one just trying to get it attached to the fixture. I contacted Lithonia for a replacement lens only to find out that they are not available in the 24" size. I finally got the busted lens in place since I couldn't get a new one. The lights look really good once they are in place. Now one of the fixtures went out after one year with a bad ballast. It is faster to buy a new fixture than to find a new ballast. I have also had to replace the bulbs within this past year. Pros: beautiful fixture, good price, easy install (except lens) Cons: frail lens, no replacement lens available for 24", ballasts go bad fast. January 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LIGHT MILK WHITE FLUORESCENT LOW-PROFILE ROUND FIXTURE exactly as indicated Approximally 70 W of industrial temperature lighting 2 wire installation Product in good condition without signs of packaging or shipping damage Installation time approximately 15 minutes if switching from previous box fixture Installation time 1 hour using BX cable from nearby box Product has been in for over a month Works flawlessly November 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid this light The lens/globe for this light is flimsy and cracks easily. After approximately 5 months of use both bulbs and possibly the ballast need replacing. My HD doesn't even carry the larger of the two bulls in stock. I don't know why they even sell this. November 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great light Easy to install and gives off great light. The price wasn't bad either. November 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement Light The simple design will fit any room. I installed it in my kitchen and my wife loved the increased light. September 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Lens I have purchased 4 of these fixtures over the years. The ballast seems to fail in about 5 years so to get an immediate replacement I buy a whole fixture. The first fixture was good quality but the lens was very difficult to fasten to the fixture body. The second fixture was the best, a sturdy lens and a very accommodating fastening system. The third and fourth had paper thin, brittle lenses so I just cannibalized them for the ballast. January 27, 2015
