PX12072 FIOS Battery replacement

Rechargable? How does one go about recharging this battery? What is needed to do this?
Asked by: HSFIOSDIY
You can use this in your FIOS box, I get 3 years out of them. I have FIOS 10 years now and I also replaced everyone around me with this battery. Charging gets done right in the unit you replace it in

Do you accept old battery for recycling when I purchase a new one?

Asked by: Anonymous
All batteries should be recycled to help the environment. If H/D does not accept old batteries, contact your local Municipality to see if they can be dropped off at their location.

will this work on a kids car

Asked by: napaman707
Good Day, if the volts and amp of the battery meet the requirements of the car, yes it can be used, but the battery must be hooked to a constant power source in order for it to stay charged in between use. Thank You for your Inquiry

12-Volt 7 Amp Replacement Battery is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used to Replace Security System Battery After six years, the 12 volt 4 AH battery that came with our home security system died. I was glad to see my local HD had these in stock. After two days, the beeping was driving us crazy. We were able to stop it but only two hours at a time which made for some less than restful nights. At any rate this battery is bigger than the one it replaced but it fits inside the control panel with no issues. The connectors were the exact same size as the previous battery. I did a little research and it seems that there are no problems using a larger amp hour battery. That just means it should last longer in the event of a power outage. It's the voltage that has to be the same. Every battery at my local HD was three months old, so yes you lose a little warranty time. I'm ok with that because in reality, getting a product like this from the manufacturer to the store shelf in three months sounds about right.

My old battery lasted 2 yrs and 9 mos, but this one from Home Depot lasted only 10 mos. Purchased Feb 2016, but mfg date is July 2015, so it only had 6 mos of warranty on it when I purchased it. Don't bother with this one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Watch for the date manufactured on this item I bought one of these about a year ago from Home Depot and it needs replacing. I went to the local Home Depot to see about a new one. The warranty is good for one year from the date manufactured that is stamped on the battery. The date manufactured is SEPTEMBER 2013. The day I went to get one was FEBRUARY 28, 2014. I Won't purchase it at Home Depot because the one year warranty is now only about a six month warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad to see battery was in stock Needed a battery for my alarm system, Checked on line and to my surprise Home Depot had it in stock. Ordered on line and picked up in less than a half hour. Thought I would have to go to electronic store for the battery. No more having the alarm company contacting me to say "Low Battery" Thanks

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stale stock Their batteries stock is old, it is now 7/15/2012 and the battery date is 11/2011. So the warranted is only 4 months not a year! I hope it will last at least a year, my original battery lasted 3.5 years. This is a replacement for my battery backup for my Verizon FIOS battery. Replaces Portalac PX12072 and terminals are not T/F2s, they are T/F1s but still works.
