After reading reviews, I checked the manufacture date that was stamped on top of the battery. It was November 2014. This means there are only four months left on the one year manufacture warranty. I did not buy this product from Home Depot. It should be noted I went to two different Home Depot stores and they both had batteries stamped 2014.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Steven Watch for old battery stock on shelf (manufacturer dates)
I'm glad that I read the reviews on these replacement batteries prior to going to Home Depot to purchase this battery. There were 2 batteries that were out on the shelf. One was dated June 2012, and the other was July 2013. I saw a sealed box behind them. I opened the box and it contained 4 batteries. The date on these four batteries were dated September 2014. I took one of these as at least I had an 8 month warranty left, since the warranty date is based on manufacture date, not purchase date. The battery that I replaced had lasted almost 5 years from the alarm installer, so time will tell how this battery's life will be. At least the price at Home Depot was about 1/2 of what I paid the installer for the previous battery.

Our back-up battery from Verizon began beeping. I did some online research and found that Home Depot carried one that would work. I ordered it online and picked it up in the store -- very easy. The only negative thing that happened is that I didn't know that I needed to remove some wires to re-use them for the installation. The replacement doesn't come with wires, and you need to use the original ones. I left the old battery to be recycled at Home Depot, but luckily, it was still there when we went back to the store so we could retrieve the wires. It would have been helpful if the customer service staff had noticed that I needed to take the wires off the old battery to use to install the new one.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Buddy Watch for the date manufactured on this item
I bought one of these about a year ago from Home Depot and it needs replacing. I went to the local Home Depot to see about a new one. The warranty is good for one year from the date manufactured that is stamped on the battery. The date manufactured is SEPTEMBER 2013. The day I went to get one was FEBRUARY 28, 2014. I Won't purchase it at Home Depot because the one year warranty is now only about a six month warranty.

Needed a battery for my alarm system, Checked on line and to my surprise Home Depot had it in stock. Ordered on line and picked up in less than a half hour. Thought I would have to go to electronic store for the battery. No more having the alarm company contacting me to say "Low Battery"

Their batteries stock is old, it is now 7/15/2012 and the battery date is 11/2011. So the warranted is only 4 months not a year! I hope it will last at least a year, my original battery lasted 3.5 years. This is a replacement for my battery backup for my Verizon FIOS battery. Replaces Portalac PX12072 and terminals are not T/F2s, they are T/F1s but still works.

I have two of these running solar powered groundlights and they're very reliable. Ive had issues with other brands of lead acid batteries, but this model is steady eddie. My only complaint is that it is overpriced compared with batteries with similar amperage.

1 year Warranty is from the date stamped on side of battery. Should be from time of purchase, and battery should last for 2 years. Performance - 7.0 A/H is enough power to support FIOS Interface Unit for usual power outage of up to 10 hours. This is my second replacement battery in 5 years and will continue to use Lithonia Products.
