Customer Questions & Answers

can I mount this fixture under an eave? It looks like a wall mount only.

Asked by: Kevin
It mounts to a normal round electrical box, and you can position the lights in any direction - so sure mount it anywhere.

How do I set the time to one minute?

Can I convert it to plug into a plug instead of hardwiring ?

Asked by: jc
Thank you for choosing Acuity Brands! Any modification of the fixture or installation other than the standard advised for it will void the fixture's warranty and be entirely at the discretion of the user. This fixture is intended to be hard-wired to a junction box, and so we have no recommendation for any other form of installation.

Are these grey or bronze? They look grey

Asked by: mike
Thank you for choosing Acuity Brands! These fixtures are Bronze, but that particular finish is a bit more grey than the dark bronze we use on our more commercial product lines.

180 Degree Bronze Motion-Sensing Outdoor LED Security Floodlight is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slow to turn on after motion is detected Once the motion is detected (the relay clicks) the LED's take about 4 seconds to turn on. I installed this to cover a stair well, and so I needed the lights to turn on as fast as possible. And yes, I adjusted the sensitivity to the highest. I can hear the relay click, but the LEDs turn on ~4 seconds later. I returned this to the store for a different brand. While at the store I tested what they had on their wall. And it's quite noticeable that this one takes much longer to turn on compared to the others. All the others turn on within 1 second of detecting motion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great light Throws a lot of light. Mounts on a standard round electrical box via one center screw. Sensor is precise, good for 50+ feet. Adjustments require no tools. Basic control with sensitivity, time on and test, with no reduced wattage day-bright. Quality throughout. LED Flood Lights remain expensive. $89 is a lot of money for a Flood Light, but I am fed up with Incandescent and Halogen Lights with cheap, problamatic Sensors..... Enjoy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked for just over a month Bought to replace a non working light over my garage after buying my house. Worked great for a little over a month. The sensor was too sensitive no matter what adjustments I made but that didn't really bother me. After about a month I pull into my driveway only see two very dim lights turning on. Comparable to the kind of light you'd see on or next to a power button of something electronic in your home. Sensor still works but now I have two very faint LEDs lighting nothing but the small metal casings they're in. Guess I'll have to send out a warranty replacement.. but wait. The website or manual have no information on warranty replacement other than a website where you register the product. After digging through the website I found a technical assistance number (1-800-748-5070). After calling I was redirected to their outdoor department. "Just take it back to Home Depot. They have a 90-day warranty." Thank you "Jess from Acuity Brands Lighting". What a great experience. I can't wait to bust out the ladder and replace yet another broken light fixture. Luckily the ladder is still close by since I was up there just over a month ago.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not enough bang for the buck! A great light for as long as it lasted. Problem: It only lasted about a year at minimal usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally an LED solution for motion lights! Will be using these to replace the 1/2 doz or so incandescent motion lights I have all over my property. LED's are superior in every way and these appear to be well made and are attractive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LED Flood Lights The unit is well constructed, most of it made of metal (except the motion sensor housing). The sensor and the lights all adjust quite easily which means you can swivel them around to several positions to get the lights to shine exactly where you want them to. The sensor is also adjustable in terms of time and distance. The lights also have optional attachable shades which keep the light off your neighbors' yards. Wiring is simple and straight forward. We purchased three of these units and installed all of them within an hour. Minor adjustments over the next three evenings for timing (how long we want the lights to remain on after activation), range (how easily we want them to be activated), etc., were easy to make.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW* Nice light Replaced our old bulb style floodlight with this one and it is SOOO much nicer. LED lights are so nice and bright and they are truly white, They really throughout a good range of light. The installation was very easy and the programming of the timer, etc. is one of the simplest I've seen.(usually if the motion sensor gets messed up, you have to go through a ton of steps to get it to reset).Very happy with this purchase.
