Customer Questions & Answers

what doses dusk to dawn mean

Asked by: weach
it is light sensitive so if there is enough light in the area, it won't come on but if there's not enough light, it will automatically come on. Hence, dusk to dawn will be the time the light will come on when motion is detected.

1) Are the lights dimmable and 2) Can the motion sensor be deactivated to allow simple turn on and off capability?

Asked by: Wacokid
Not dimmable but if you put a timer on the circuit, it won't come on until the time you set and will go off at the time you set.

180 Degree White Motion-Sensing Outdoor LED Security Flood Light is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water in Lense First rain water seeped into the lens and you can't drain them. Very unhappy, light doesn't work now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great LED Security Light So far the tight system is working very well . The wind in the trees and bushes does not set it off. The only complaint I have is that they should include a hanging device to hold the fixture up until the wiring is done and you are ready to screw it in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed within 3 months and lenses filled completely with water I loved it right after installing it. Within 3 months though the bulbs only "glowed" and didn't light up. I finally took it down and discovered that one of the lenses was COMPLETELY full of water (like a fish bowl) and the other was about 1/3 full. I was disappointed because after seeing it first installed it seemed great. I read the reviews and realized I should replace with something else so I did. It was a waste of $100 but Home Depot amazingly just took it back as a return (just barely below the 90 day return policy) and I grabbed a different style. Home Depot was great, the light was not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do NOT buy Please trust me on this review. I purchased 1 of these units last yr. Worked fine for 1 yr and now it's led bulbs are so dim, they are unusable. I purchased a brand new unit, same model and guess what? It doesn't work at all. I did notice on the new unit that the casing on the back was cracked, not sure if that was the issue. After reading other reviews, it seems as though these lights are just expensive junk and should not be bought under any circumstances. Now I have to drive back and find a different flood light. It seems like nothing is made well anymore. I'm very disappointed. Booooo to this company.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from doesnt last long We are on our second lithonia led lamp which just died again, lasts as long as you can't find the receipt anymore (about 1 year). Light is good, sensor works fine for a year, then konks out. Getting tired of installing a new one each year.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I like the appearance, and it was easy to install. That's about it. Here's my complaint: It does not work well at all. After it was first installed, it was extremely bright for only about 15 minutes. It then got much much darker (dimmer) - have no idea why. I wish I knew the reason. My wife and I find it extremely strange. We are very frustrated. We wonder why it changed from very bright to very dark after only about 15 minutes. Since it was installed mid-November, it has been like this - very dark. I'm thinking about returning it to Home Depot. But wait, this is not the only problem. The second problem is that about 80% of the time, it does not go off. This is motion sensor. It should go off itself. In order to temporary solve this problem, I have to turn the switch off, and then turn it back on. It usually work by turning it off and back on. However, it does not always work. Many times I had to turn it off and on twice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from First One Didn't Work... I bought this item to replace an existing incandescent light on the side of the house by the garage man-door. It is defective out of the box and barely lights when triggered by an IR source. In the test switch position, I've gotten it once to go to full brightness by toggling the interior wall switch, but otherwise it's in barely glow mode. I'll try another one of the same model before abandoning this manufacturer and style for good. The local store is out and it's between Christmas and New Years so getting another is difficult right now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shouldn't be used outdoors Very easy to install. Compact design that could easily fit anywhere. It worked well for a couple of months but then one day just decided not to. We troubleshooted it and saw that it had some water in it. We cleaned that out, it worked a couple of weeks more and then just stopped. If it's an outdoor light than it should be made for the outdoors.
