Answer:
Yes, I used CREE LED floodlight bulbs that are on the shelf at HD. They are replacements for 90 watt floodlights, and consume 13 watts each. They are not quite as bright as the typical incandescent floodlight bulb, but they are fine for most purposes and the power savings is worth it. Just make sure whatever LED bulb you choose is outdoor rated.

Answer:
Keith, I put led bulbs in mine. It's great lighting for a quarter of the energy use. Takes about 5 minutes to be completely bright.

Answer:
The kit comes with a basic gasket which fits over the neck of the light bulb at the socket. Obviously, you do not want to point the kit upwards so that it catches rain or snow. I use these kits in Florida without the benefit of being covered by the roof eave. No issues after 5 years.

I'd like to mount this outside my house about 20 feet off the ground at the second floor (ceiling) level. Is this bright enough to light up the yard from that high?

Answer:
Yes. Depends to some degree how bright you are expecting and what bulb you use. With energy saving LED floodlight bulbs, it's bright enough for security lighting. You might want to use halogen bulbs if you need more light, such as for outdoor play areas.

Answer:
Yes. It can handle the power needed. Your biggest factor will be using flood or spotlight bulbs. Some of the newer LED floods are really good. Expensive, but last forever. No climbing a ladder once a year to change bulbs.

Answer:
You need a round box. This unit includes the box cover, but not the box itself. That's typical of how lighting fixtures are sold.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I wanted for a reasonable price I bought this to replace an old worn out fixture. I only needed the lamp holders because they were going onto an outdoor rectangular box cover; to use this unit fully assembled, you need a round box. I was surprised to see it includes a photocell; makes it a bargain imho. I see nothing to complain regarding the quality or function of this unit. I used led floodlights in the lampholders. The old fixture was 300 watts; the led's use 26 watts total. September 16, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Versatile and Bright! The outdoor flood lights are very versatile and easy to install! I needed lights which could be custom installed and wired for a new skinning rack. These lights fit perfectly on the boxes and were easy to wire. Best of all, they provide terrific lighting adjusted to point just where I need it to prevent accidental cuts while processing food for my family! September 8, 2015
