The rubber gasket around the lens was effective at keeping the moisture out on mine. The only other access for water getting in is the mounting arm, which shouldn't be a problem if it's mounted upright. If you're still concerned, remove the lens before installation to be sure the gasket is seated properly and not crimped, and a light coat of silicone gel on the gasket should ensure no moisture will get in- at least that way.

2-Light Wall-Mount Outdoor Bronze Mini-Floodlight is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well built light fixture I should have looked closer at the description. I just assumed this light had a photo cell like the other similar lights I had purchased. It did not, do I had to add my own. Works as originally planned now.

I have bought 3 of these over the years and they last about 2 years and then the electronics cr@p out, usually before the bulbs. LED flood lights are now more affordable, so go with that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not last even in dry environment Two years ago I mounted 2 of these under my soffits which never see water, plus they are aimed down. One failed about 6 months ago but I just got around to replacing it (it's mounted 2 stories high), so it lasted about 18 months. Of course the warranty is only one year on these. The ballast failed, which is made by Caster, BFE13 2. Lithonia Lighting does not even list this manufacturer as a ballast provider on their website, which incidentally they also state, ballast warranty issues must be resolved with the ballast manufacturer (http://www.lithonia.com/lampballastwarranties.html). Using this logic, would I have to go to the lens maker if it leaked? When you warranty a product you should cover all the components! Previously I thought Lithonia was one of the better light manufacturers, and many of their lights do have 5 year warranties. But after this experience, they do not justify my brand loyalty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not last As with many others here, leaks in the fixture caused the ballast to short. Using as a uplight on the house. The color temp and output is just right, but the fixture didn't make it two years before inconsistently starting, then about a month or two later it gave out entirely.
