Answer:
No. True motion detection does not come cheap. Expect to pay more than $75 for a motion light that really works.

Answer:
You're looking for motion sensing, you could remove the existing light sensor and connect a motion sensor. OR, just buy the version of this lamp that does come with the motion sensor.

My light blinks off and on all night. How do I correct this problem.

It is hung about a foot down from the eve on a corner of the house. It turns off in the daytime and putting black tape over the sensor will make the light come on for test for nighttime use.

Answer:
I have seen where the sensor itself is faulty. Another thought would be the orientation of the sensor to the lights. For example, if you installed the fixture so that the sensor is above the lights - that may be the problem. Just remount with the sensor facing down.

Answer:
I had that issue and had to switch to incandescent bulbs. I think the halogen light bulbs would get to hot and would begin to switch on and off all night

Answer:
I have not experienced this problem. If there are any other lights in the area, such as a street light, that could affect the sensor and it could be the cause. Otherwise I would check with an electrician.

Thank you for your question.
The OFTH is designed to fit over an existing recessed four inch universal junction box. If a recessed box is not available, it should be mounted to a weatherproof box.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dusk to dawn lighting Easy install and works great. Would recommend to anyone needing security lighting . July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYer's Dream! Dawn To DUsk Security Light Bought a few of these to place around the house as I live in the rural part of our Town. It was so dark I had to walk around with a flash light... Bought these and lit up our back of the property. Works so well I bought another to illuminate the front parking area. The Install quickly & wire just as easily. Glad I bought them & You Will Too! February 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by better than what we had We recently did some renovations and decided to replace the outside floodlights. We had been using an adapter to get dusk to dawn lights. The adapters are expensive and wear out periodically. These new floodlight fixtures have the sensor built right in and work better than the old adapters. It seems that our lights are brighter now, too. June 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice safety light Light was quick to install and works as designed. Like it. April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Totally a waste of money - a horrible design Very poor design...to the point of being ridiculous! The gasket does not fit a standard junction box and therefore totally useless. THIS IS NOT a waterproof fixture and can never be. February 29, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice inexpensive lighting option Nice inexpensive lighting option, works well and look great. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dusk to dawn lights So far the lights have worked very well. Easy to install. November 10, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It works OK Installation was fairly simple except that I could not find a box at Home Depot that fit the fixture. Everything was too small. The result is a mount that is not water tight. I have it installed under the eaves so that it is protected from the weather. The light reflection from the bottom side of the eaves causes the light sensor to turn the lights off and then on again within a cycle of several seconds to several minutes. It needs to have directional spots installed instead of ordinary bulbs or CFLs. I covered the CFLs with aluminum foil to direct the light away from the sensor, so it stays on all night now. A little more trouble than I expected. February 26, 2015
