I installed 12 of these 2-bulb 4-foot fluorescent fixtures in my garage. They are pretty good quality, they look good, and they are very easy to install. I love the electronic ballast and T8 bulbs - they light up instantly, even at 25 degrees F. They take a few minutes to warm up to full brightness in this cold weather, but after that they throw plenty of high-quality light. Several of the fixtures had scuff marks in the paint, even though the boxes were not damaged. This didn't bother me for use in a garage, but you might want to check each unit if that would bother you.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by bababab Ok for most applications, but ballast causes RFI.
The ballast causes FM radio interference. That said, this may not be a deal killer for many people. But IMHO, because of the RFI, the product should not have a Residential rating. To their credit, Lithonia did send me a new ballast, but it was the exact same part and had the exact same RFI problem. So I had to deal with 3 ballasts just to get rid of the RFI in my bathroom.
If you get RFI, replace the ballast with GE's part number GE232-120RES-DIY, Internet # 205400553,
Store SKU # 126532 . ($14.95 as of 5/20/2015).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Marino Decent Garage Lights
For the price and my intended use (garage) these lights are just fine. I'm not really sure why people are saying they're low quality...Yes, the sheet metal is a bit flimsy on the sides of the units but for $28 what can you expect? Also, once they're installed it's a non-issue.
With all that said, I had zero problems with assembly or installation but beware, the sheet metal sides are not blunt so you should plan on wearing gloves because you'll suffer from sliced up palms otherwise...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MaintenanceMan Crazy idea---Marvellous results!
When Vic, the owner of our machine shop, came to me and said "Let's go to Home Depot and pick up some T8 light fixtures and mount them on our jib cranes", I wasn't sure what results to expect. After having done just that, they made such a lighting improvement over the machines and work area that we installed double rows of these fixtures on several jibs. Machine operators usually can't get enough light to read prints and measuring instruments. As the photos show, we used Home Depot 2x4's and drywall screws to fabricate mounting brackets. By conjoining the fixtures, we were able to save space and material as well. We installed Ty-Wraps around the ends of each fixture to hold the bulbs securely. These fixtures have proven to be a very low cost alternative to the higher priced variety of shop lighting. They are light weight and do not interfere with the normal operation of the crane. I recommend these fixtures for a low cost high efficiency install.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jack not a good buy
Product not very well made, very flimsy materials, had a terrible time lining up slots for connections.
Many very sharp areas, have to be careful and watch for cuts. Once the light is assembled and installed it is a decent light. Overall for the price not too bad, but it took a long time to get it installed.

Has sharp edges and thus was difficult to handle installation. The material is flimsy and bends easily. Ended up just using the ballast, tube holder and wiring from the fixture and discarded the frame.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Poor Build Quality
Major issue is the electrical knockouts are VERY hard to break loose. I was on a long ladder with a hammer and chisel just to get them started. Had I known they would be this hard, I would have done it before hanging.
Also these do not come with mounting hardware. This is very poor.
Lastly I am aware stuff today is low quality, but the overall build is terrible, the metal is razor sharp, I have cuts to prove it. The fitment of the end caps, sockets, and cover panel is deplorable. You need gloves on just to touch any part of it without getting cut.
JUNK, JUNK, JUNK. Avoid this brand!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by gmu141 Two tube T8 Luminaire
I am impressed with how much brighter the fixture is than my 3 tube fixtures. For the price the quality is fine. It seems to fire up quickly in my cold garage. Not the case with older fixtures. I cannot comment on longevity of the ballast since it hasn't been installed very long. Keep in mind the tubes are exposed so only install in an area not subject to contact. The construction is flimsy, but where it is located that is not an issue. I will likely buy another fixture just like it to replace an older 3 tube. I was also impressed with how small and light the ballast is on this fixture.
