Bought 4 of these lights to mount below a flush mount tile basement ceiling. In 5 years of limited use, 2 ballasts have failed, which is a problem because removal of my lights is difficult without damaging tiles. If you can readily remove your lights, replacement of the entire fixture or ballast is not too difficult. I would like to replace with a light of similar appearance, but can't find one with anywhere near the 3500 lumens output - which is nice when the light works.

Way easy to install. Superb lighting and it doesn't stick out.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AnnD Broke in 3.5 years so changing to LED by another mfg.
Built new house in 2011 so bought 5 for my closets which were installed by electrician who wired entire house (of the same type/mfg. earlier version). None were used more than an hour a day with several less (replaced the hard to find expensive bulbs in the master closet most used - then recently the ballast died after another did two months ago - bulbs still good when try in other units). Replacement online are about $20 a piece plus electrician cost so forget it. Only had a year warranty so $225 down the drain plus electrician costs (called mfg who was indifferent). So I sent over to Lowes and bought five Utlitec LED smaller square lights for $40 each as I am not giving another dime to Lithonia Lighting/Acuity. No flicker when turn on and the electrician said they should last 5 to 10 years depending on use with no bulb replacement.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NicoleD7015 Nice light, stylish and would work great in a low ceiling pantry/space
Great light. We were going to utilize it for within our pantry since there is no natural light in this space and it has a low ceiling (actually under the stair way) but the light was too wide for the space so we had to return it. Overall, great product. East to install but make sure you measure twice, first.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Seranus Great light for our laundry room
Replaced a similar fixture on a laundry room ceiling. This is a two person project because our ceiling is 12 feet high and sloped. I pre-drilled holes in all 4 corners, per suggestion from other reviewers. I attached black thread to the smaller screws on the cross bar before I started the installation. These are the screws that will connect the frame to the cross bar. (Cross bar is used to mount the fixture to the junction box and then to the frame.) Once I got the cross bar installed and the wires connected, I grabbed the thread & ran it through the appropriate holes on the frame. This made it much easier to find the right holes since I could not see over the top of the frame from my ladder. I tightened these screws, positioned the frame properly and screwed in the drywall screws at the four corners to the ceiling. Ran the connector wires to the circline bulbs under the circline bulbs so they do not show Looks great!

A $.20 part ruined the light for me. I bought 2 of these as replacements. The clips for the diffusers had broken on each of them so I replaced with new ones since I love the amount of light. Less than 1 year later the same issue has happened to these lights.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MrPinMN Waste of time, money, effort, AND poor lighting
Pigtails from fixture are too short.
The mounting holes lined up perfectly with the protected wiring making screw installation difficult.
Installation requires three hands.
Lighting was mismatched - making very odd looking fixture with a 2700k bulb surrounded by a 3500k.
if it wasn't being used in a basement storage area it would have gone in garbage and may still.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mick Nice fixture
The light fixture has good construction and is a good choice when dealing with a low ceiling. The wiring requires 90 degree Celsius wire in the box so it is not a good fit for older wiring. I have installed 3 of these and the ballast is quiet.
