Answer:
I removed my motion sensor as when I have the garage door open, the light variance affected the sensor setting. I'm guessing if the lamp was in a controlled environment like a basement, is fine. These lamps require hard wiring, so using 1 motion sensor for more than one lamp connected on the same circuit should work.

Building a 20' x 50' RV Barn with 17' ceiling. Intent is to light not only top of RV, but sides as well in order to wash, wax, etc. How many lights are needed to be nice and bright? Also will have a 25' x 30' car garage with 12' ceiling on one side and a 15' x 30' with 10' ceiling on the other side. Are the Lithonia 4 ft. Flush Mount Ceiling White LED Wraparound light more suitable for these spaces and if so, how many do I need for each of these?

Not familiar with the LED wraparound lights, but if they are as bright as the high bays with their illumination (11,000 lumens), then I would suggest two on each side. Read Less

I can only help with the RV Barn. I would suggest using 4 lights placed on the top of the walls where they meet the roof (in the corner). If you extend the light from the end of the building by 10 feet from both ends so that between the lights you will have 30 feet in the center, you should have adequate light on all sides.

The lights are suitable for both the RV barn and the 2 car garage.
It's up to you, however, not us, to determine how many lights you'll need for both areas. It depends on a lot of factors, like high activity areas.
Each high bay LED fixture is about equivalent to around 16-18 60 watt bulbs, so you won't need much in regards to installation.

Again, since we don't know the layout of the barn, I can't say if 9 or even 16 of these fixtures would be suitable for you.
Same goes for the wraparound fixtures as well.

LED lighting is directional. If it's hung at an angle, you will not see the full benefit from the output. It'll work, but you most likely won't be happy.

The greater the mounting angle the more heat will build-up (even w/venting along its edges) on the high-side edge — endangering the LED diodes along that side or edge inside.
BUT -- if your environment tends to be on the cooler side (especially if below 70's F), then I'd be really surprised if you suffering any problems whatsoever so long as you don't mount them too extremely (90-degrees on a wall or close to).
Also, I'd recommend avoiding the double-whammy of strong inclined tilt angle AND simultaneously leaving no airspace/breathing room around/above them. Either one alone won't be a problem unless the ambient temp is really high —together with no air flow, hot ceiling air layer, and strongly tilted angling likely invites damage unless you can keep the temp a lot lower (the lower the better). But that's just my take on it — the mfg might have better scientific advice on this.
Lithonia likely thru-in the 'must-be-level' notation as a blanketed product-life and safety requirement, covering all usual application environments. Read Less

Thanks for your question. The included mounting kit hangs the fixture level. If you would like to angle the fixture, you will need to purchase separate mounting brackets.

As a former electrical engineer, I would answer: For the 4k model, I see nothing on the Home Depot site or in the product's documentation to indicate "11,000 lumens per watt on a 125w fixture" in that specific wording. Instead, the specification wording for the fixture states it produces 11,000 lumens with a series of LED bulbs with a maximum bulb wattage of 125 watts. Watts are a measurement of power, or better yet, power consumption. Given this information, the 125 watts are consumed by the 120 volt fixture. Power (watts) is equal to (voltage x amperes). One can substitute and calculate the current used is (125 watts / 120v) or 1.042 amperes. However, going back to the original question, the fixture produces 11,000 lumens WHILE CONSUMING 125 watts, or 88 lumens per watt of electricity consumed. More important, the fixture requires approximately eight (8) hours of continuous operation to consume one kilowatt of electricity, or 125 watts x 8 hours equals 1,000 watts. This is much more efficient than other sources of illumination. I hope this helps and is not confusing. Read Less

Lithonia/Accuity replaced this model-11 with the newer (and much more expensive compared to H-Depot's in-store offering I paid $229/ea & they've come down even further below $200 now it looks) model-12 which I don't think Depot carries online let alone in warehouse yet, but the 12L is considerably more efficient IIRC ~100lm/W which sounds like the data-entry figure-errors you're reading in product specs here online (12L around 12K lm via 125ish Watts).
A year ago when I price-compared, the new model-12s were more than double the cost Depot selling 11LMVs for, and I've been quite happy with all 6 model-11Lmv's I bought and use multiple times per day---never had a single problem. I chain-suspended them around 6inches from ceil for air circ as any lamp/lightsource around 75lm/W gets noticeably warm to the touch of course so I'd advice against flush-mounting them---an installation violation you *might* get by with if wanted on the 12L (or anything else over 100lm/W
Always remember LEDs love the Cold thru Room-Temp, but wither/die quickly in scorching heat which is why its best not to totally-enclose other LEDs used as lamp replacements. So far, I've never lost a Lithonia, a Philips, nor a single Ecosmart LED (but have lost a few Feits & couple Crees, none abused or anything). Currently, Ecosmart (Depot's house brand) LEDs are made by one of if not the top LED-manufacturer on the planet: Lighting Science Group --- love their edison-screw-in LEDs which I hope Depot's partnership endures forever best ever lamps so far esp new filament tech LSG/Ecosmart one of which is 120lm/W or more and barely feels lukewarm even after running all-day! Gotta love 'em.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good LED light Nice high bay light, puts out lots of light and is very simple to install. if you look into the light you will see spots as it is very bright. Instructions are not very good but the light is simple to install so you don't need great instructions. Now if it lasts it will save a lot of money in the next 5 years, that is unknown at this time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lithonia Lighting 2 ft. White LED High Bay Light The product was much brighter than I expected and provided a lot of illumination when mounted about 12 ft. above the floor. However, one of the two lights did not have the V-bracket used to attach the light to the suspension chain. Had to cut and use a wire coat hanger to attach the light to the chain. Now awaiting shipment of the V-brackets after contacting both Home Depot and Lithonia Lighting for the omitted part. (Hence the reason for the GOOD rating for ease of installation.) April 29, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good light Easy installation and puts off good light. I have a 2400 Sq ft shop with 14 ft walls 16 ft to the peak and use 4 of these lights. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very bright lights I purchased three of these lights for a high bay area of my garage that is 44 x 20 with a 16 foot ceiling. When these lights are on it is like high noon in that area. I looked high and low for lights that had good output and would not break the bank. These lights were about half the price of others I had looked at. There is some discussion about suspending from a chain, I flush mounted them. The body of the light is made for flush mounting, and there was no caution in the literature that came with the lights. So far I am quite happy with them February 16, 2016
