Answer:
Yes. IKEA sells several GU10 LED bulbs that work well with this fixture. Some of them are listed on IKEA's web site, but others are sold only in stores. They cost $6-8. They're an excellent buy.
I routinely buy these fixtures, throw away the 50-watt halogen bulb that's in the box, and replace it with an IKEA LED bulb.

I have not tried retrofitting LEDs into our newly installed fixtures, but a quick Google search brings up Home Depot item
Model # 423418
Internet # 203321687
Store SKU # 153914
Which claims to be a 'drop in' replacement.
I'm sure there are more out there, and prices will continue dropping as the market matures.

How do you change the bulb?

We unfortunately no longer have the booklet that came with the fixture and are unsure how to properly remove the trim to change the bulb. We would rather ask first rather than accidentally ruin the fixture.

get a ladder. carefully pull down on outer ring assembly
lower outer exposed ring. the one with 3 prongs. inside you'll see wires & 2 ceramic parts
push the 2 ceramic parts together & twist at the same time
the bulb is the glass lens+ reflector + one ceramic part . rather big for the actual tiny bulb inside

I've had these kinds of bulbs running on a dimmer. It may be my imagination, but I think they burnt out quicker.

Answer:
Yes, the lamp that comes with it is a line-voltage 50-watt quartz-halogen reflector bulb that will dim with any standard dimmer.
If, in the future you retrofit an LED lamp into it then you need to be sure the new lamp is specified as 'dimmable' and 'line voltage'. Full-range LED dimming is still a bit 'iffy'.

Answer:
Yes, you can easily upgrade it with an LED bulb. I strongly recommend that you do this. The energy savings are great, and the reduction in heat is a nice bonus.
I recommend IKEA's 400-lumen LED bulbs. They're dimmable, a near-perfect color match for halogen, and they're very reasonably priced. I use dozens of them, and none have ever failed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice device Easy to install, good looking. I will try to convert this to a led light bulbs, for efficiencyb reasons. August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Super easy to install but you must use a 3 1/8" hole saw to do it right. Connect the electrical then insert the light. I then changed the bulbs to LED...it was less expensive to do it this way March 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 3 in. Brushed Nickel GU10 Gimbal Recessed Kit The recessed cut in can was an easy install into the exterior soffit, mounted easily and was stable after installation. I did purchase a 3 1/8” hole saw to facilitate installation (well worth the cost). It took the better part of the afternoon to install 18 cans but the end results were worth it. February 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the look! Love the look of the lights in my dining room. They are small but give off lots of light and works great with a dimmer switch. February 25, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Bargain Look great, priced terrific, install easy buy an extra at the price it's cheaper to buy a whole unit than a replacement bulb only take care outer exposed ring dents easy. one of ours came w/ dent. still we needed a spare bulb December 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice light They are a very nice light. Would use them again . January 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice kitchen Lighting The light fixtures were easy to install and provided the right look for the kitchen. Switched the bulbs to GU-10 LED. September 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great lights, especially for the price I just put these in 3 bedrooms, and have ordered more to do the last room. They are very easy to install. You need cable clamps for each one (which is annoying as I'd think these would be included). They sit up on the ceiling nice and tight, and the clips seem strong enough to hold them firm. BUY A CIRCULAR DRILL BIT! - at first I tried doing the cut outs with a handheld drywall saw. Then I bought a milwaukee hole saw and that made all the difference. I've started these out with the included halogen lamps, and then when they blow I'll replace them with GU10 LEDs which you can get on Amazon for $10 each. I also built drywall boxes, sealed with foil tape, and then Great Stuff'd them to the attic floor - apparently the best way to air seal these units so you can then insulate around and above them.
