purchased to replace the previous Lithonia fixtures. I just hope they last longer then originals. They only lasted 4 years. Quite costly to only last 4 years.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by AmateurRadioOperator Work well but create radio interference.
I have six of these units. Three in the garage and three in the carport. They have been up for four years and except for one premature failure of one ballast have performed well. Except for one major issue. RFI. These units are noisy from a radio interference standpoint. As an Amateur Radio Operator I'm sensitive to interference. Root cause is that the ballasts are commercial rated. Residential rated ballasts are held to a lower RFI emission standard. I've been forced to replace all the ballasts with residential rated ballasts to get rid of the RFI. I'm giving the unit a "Yes Recommend" with a "Yeah but". If radio frequency interference is not an issue in your installation then go ahead and purchase. Otherwise look for something with a residential rated ballast.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SantaFeHomeOwner Do not buy!
I purchased 4 of these in May 2009. They were professionally installed in my garage/workshop.
Within the first year, two of the electronic ballasts failed. I just finished replacing the third. The ACCUPRO ballast used in these fixtures are poor quality. Don't be tempted by the low price, get a fixture with a brand name ballast, or you will be replacing them soon.
Buy this and you will get very proficient at changing ballasts, I can now do it in about 10 minutes (plenty of practice...thanks Lithonia!)

Not the cheapest fixture, but they are high quality and provide plenty of light with energy efficient T8 bulbs. Very pleased.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Michael Radio Frequency Interference is bad
Great Appearance, Great Lighting, Low Profile, Decent Price but horrible Radio Frquency Interference (RFI) I bought 6 of these lights for a 34' X 36' X12' Pole Barn with metal siding. I notiiced when I turn on either of the sets of lights (3 lights on a Switch, 2 Switches) the FM Radio has sever static. The static appears to be contributed from air-borne RF from the lights not from noise on the AC line, I'm going to try some Ferrite Core Noise Surpressors for the antenna but this is a PITA. Not sure if a TV would function OK in the garage but when I drive either car into the garage with the lights on in the garage as soon as I get inside with the car the static is horrible on my car radio until I leave the garage or turn the lights off in the garage. I'm sure it's because of the cheap ballasts used in the lights. This may be something to consider in your purchase? I still have not resolved this issue.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by VirginiaRenovator Excellent Studio Light
I bought 10 of these 4-light 48" fluorescent ceiling lights to use in a 2-car garage converted to art studio. They are simple, low-profile lights with clean lines, making them appropriate for a variety of applications. They look much nicer than your average "shop light". They fit nicely around the overhead garage door apparatus and are thin enough to allow the door to open unhindered. They are good quality, as all 10 arrived undamaged and were easy to install. The covers are easy to remove for bulb installation. The wrap-around design allows light to flow from the sides as well as from the bottom of the fixture. They turn on immediately without any flicker. They do not buzz or otherwise make noise. They are rated for trouble-free operation down to 0 degrees. The price was very reasonable, and, because I ordered so many, shipping was free. I'm pleased with this purchase and would make the same purchase again. I have nothing negative to say about these lights or the experience of purchasing them from Home Depot.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by David Ballast quit within months
I bought two of these. The ballast went out on one of them within a year of installation. It seems hard to find good fluorescent fixtures. If you read reviews you will commonly find that the ballast quit in short order. Sigh...
