Answer:
LED's in general are not designed for bulb replacement, as technically they do not have bulbs. They are designed for many years of life, and the warranties tend to be very good. In the event they have a shorter lifespan, replacement is still cheaper than total cost of maintaining and operating other "bulb" style fixtures.

No but unless you live a very long time you will not have to worry about the bulbs. I am a believer in LED's. We used them in Iraq for runway lights. This is the best outdoor security light I have ever had.

As far as I know you can't replace the bulb.
In reality though, the bulb probably costs nearly as much as the light. The LEDs for my kitchen can lights were $100 per bulb. The price is coming down though, so by the time you have to replace it you can most likely put a whole new fixture up for less than it costs now.

Bill,
All wiring components for photocontrol are easily accessible in this unit. With basic electrical skills, it can be bypassed and wired to a simple switchleg. HOWEVER, I have not read the warranty statement details for alteration. I do not see that changing the operation or lifespan.

Answer:
The great thing about these units is that there are 3 mounting options. They are all well thought out, and the act of switching from one to another is effortless. 4 or 5 screws at most. They mount flush, on a standard box, or on a pole(sold on website also). Or just bend your own pipe for custom install.

The light comes "ready" to mount on an electrical box. However, it is also flexibly designed to be mounted on an pole extension or flush mounted. Thus, you can mount it on an electrical box, pole mount, or flush mounted. This unit uses a total of 35w.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 124 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good replacement After replacing rotten siding, I wanted to upgrade the light from a large industrial fixture to something a bit more attractive. This one met my requirements - dark sky friendly, low energy use, clean appearance. Like the one it replaced, it is screwed directly into the siding instead of being mounted on a box. There is limited space inside the fixture for the wire connections but, with some careful manuvering, it does fit. I'm very pleased with the result. Unlike some other dusk to dawn fixtures I've used, this one is easy to check during daylight hours. On top of the fixture, there is a cover that slides over the eye. This allows you to restrict the amount of light it detects. I've noticed that, even with the eye fully open, the light tends to activate on overcast days. October 12, 2016
