Answer:
best bet is to tape a small piece of electric tape or a dab of black silcone caulk over the photocell to trick it into a 24 always on. When it peels off in a couple of years, reapply tape or caulk again.

As far as I can see, the dusk to dawn feature cannot be turned off. There is a main sensor at the front surface and no adjustments elsewhere.

Answer:
The Dusk to Dawn sensor on this fixture cannot be turned off but can be covered to work off a light switch. We do not suggest altering the fixture as it will void the limited 5 year warranty.

This is A/C power.. 120 volts only. You have a black wire and a white wire. In addition you have a ground wire, but since the light fixture is metallic, you really do not need the ground.

Answer:
Yes, but expect them to come on a little earlier and go off a little later since they are shaded. Cloudy days and vegetation provide additional shading. The beauty is that they only draw 20 watts so an extra half hour or so doesn't make a lot of difference on the electric bill.

I have mine mounted in a covered area. It works just fine. Depending on how dark your covered area is I would say it will probably work OK.

It all depends on the light, that is reflected off the sensor. Most likely, if it's overcast, the led light will stay on.

I have one mounted under a covered patio and one mounted outside of a covered patio. They one under the covered patio comes on about 20 minutes earlier than the other one. They are LED, so the energy consumption will be minimal.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great area light Great light. Easy to install and the bright white light covers a large area. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good output. Simple install. This was purchased as a replacement for a high pressure sodium light I bought a couple of years ago. That unit put out great light - a bit too bright actually - but then dusk to dawn feature stopped working - leaving it on all the time and then the bulb started getting sketchy. This time around I decided to go with LED to save electricity 20w vs 70w, pick up longer bulb life and slightly less brightness. SIMPLE installation... literally pulled the old fixture and installed this unit in 10 minutes. So far, I'm very happy with it. Good light output without being overpowering. April 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Design flaw I bought one of these lights and installed it myself on the front porch. It works beautifully and shines brightly. And it was easy to install since my house is only 2 1/2 years old. I liked it so much I bought one for the back porch. The back porch light fixture was different from the front porch. Because, it had the protection of like a vinyl cover flapping over top of the fixture I presume as a rain guard. So when I removed the fixture for placement of the LED, the mounting portion of the LED fit so flush where I was to connect the wires. Only problem was, it fit perfectly facing downwards. And even though I already installed one in the front porch, I still made the mistake of installing the one on the back upside down. But it was more subconscious than anything because, I instinctively placed the LED in the most flush position possible. When I realized it was upside down, I also realized right side up wouldn't work because of that rain guard flap. Therefore I cannot give this LED a perfect score because if this. This light should have been designed with that in mind. Perhaps making the mounting portion of the LED up AND down compatible. Nonetheless the light still works in the back, but because it's facing downward, the brightness is affected. It shines upward but illuminates enough to have decent illumination in the back. It's just not as illuminated as the front. Smh.. June 4, 2016
