Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by lacada Looks great but you will need to caulk
This fixture is really the best looking one out there at this price. Comparable ones were ahundred more. Be warned, if your ceiling is not perfectly perfect flat (which ours wasn't), the wood frame will not sit flush on the ceiling, and the foam tape will not do the trick. You get this problem on more expensive fixtures as well. Do what the pros do - simply run a bead of caulk between the fixture and the ceiling and it's perfect. Instant on, no flicker or buzz, good light.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Goodsoninlaw This light fixture pleased my mother-in-law!
My mother-in-law needed more light in her kitchen. This 4 bulb fixture did the trick. I found it on Home Depot on line, read the reviews and ordered it. It arrived promptly, was packaged securely, and had no damage. Some reviews mentioned light leakage, so I used the foam tape supplied, but also used some aluminum foil that I taped between the inside of the wood molding and the back of the metal fixture base. No leakage at all! I did have to cut a different hole for the electrical connection since it was not in the center of the fixture, but that was not difficult. Then it was just drilling 2 holes in the ceiling and putting it up. The reflector fit fine. It provides plenty of light for her kitchen. I now have one happy mother-in-law!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0Â by Reaxions Great product, if installed "correctly"
First off, a lot of these reviews had me scared for nothing. I'm glad I ignored them. Like any product, there is potential for damage during shipping, so online buyer beware. However...
I bought three of these fixtures at the same store, at the same time, and all three boxes had been carelessly opened by someone else. I gave all three a cursory inspection at the store, and, while slightly annoyed, it seemed that whomever had opened them had caused damage to the boxes, but not the fixtures (it wasn't until I got home that I noticed that one of them was missing the foam and screws, but it turned out not to really matter).
After having just installed one of them, I believe the order in which I installed the individual pieces of the fixture prevented some of the issues others have experienced; I installed the ballast by itself, drilling four additional holes in the corners, where it met the ceiling, and also installing some toggle bolts where no ceiling joists were available, so I could make sure the ballast was as flush as possible to the ceiling. Then, I placed the wood frame flush with the ceiling and drilled new pilot holes into the bare wood mounting strip on the inside, above the pre-drilled holes, for attachment to the ballast. In contrast, the instructions seem to instruct you to attach the wood frame to the ballast, utilizing the pre-drilled holes, prior to mounting the ballast to the ceiling, which I could see causing some significant problems to get the frame flush. Even with the way I installed it, there was still an extremely tiny bit of light leakage where the frame met the ceiling, but that's because of the imperfect line of my ceiling drywall, not the product. And, that's to be expected, as no drywall is ever perfectly level, and it was easily fixed with some caulk. In addition, I didn't have any foam (thanks to Home Depot allowing people to pilfer the boxes), which I believe would've completely remedied the issue.
Further, getting the diffuser on and off again was no problem, so I'm not sure why that's caused some issues with others.
Ultimately, this is a great product and looks great, as long as you take a common sense approach to installation, which also requires some minor additional hardware. If you're not very handy, and can't adapt the installation as necessary, you might not be happy with the product. Because the directions instruct you to install it in what I consider a sloppy manner, I'm deducting one star from what should be a 5-star product.
But, based on my experience with this product, if you're upset with the condition of the product upon delivery or purchase, be upset with Home Depot or the delivery company, not the manufacturer (Lithonia Lighting). The same goes for light leakage; be upset with your home builder or drywall installer, not the manufacturer.
I hope that helps. I'm excited to install the other two. Good luck to you.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0Â by Unhappy Ballast Burned Out After Just 6 Years
We liked the way this fixture looks in our kitchen but it was a real pain to install. Unfortunately, the ballast has burned out less than 6 years after it was installed. And for a $124 fixture, that's not acceptable to me.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0Â by Roulette228 Lens cover doesn't fully cover bulbs
We bought this fixture to replace an older, smaller flourescent fixture in our kitchen. Assembly was fine, but the lens cover is TOO SMALL for the frame it fits into. That means that there is a very slight gap between the lens and the frame. Surely the manufacturer could extend the rim of the lens cover an additional 1/4 inch on either side to secure it in the frame and cover the bulbs. There is room in the frame to allow for this. This alone would keep me from recommending this particular fixture to a friend.
