Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Andrew Good quality, sturdy light fixture with high output. Beam pattern a little strange.
I installed this fixture to replace an aging high pressure sodium fixture (also 150W). The fixture is much heavier than my former sodium fixture but that's ok because the mount I have is able to support it with no problems. The light output is much higher than my old sodium light (expected from a metal halide fixture) which is great; excellent beam spread and range. The light output color is almost white but tends a little to the green side (also normal for metal halide). The only thing I don't like is the beam consistency. Vertical is fine but the side-to-side spread of light has variations of light intensity almost like someone painted vertical black lines on the lens. Of course, the lens is perfectly clear so I think this effect might be a product of the reflector design. I'm hoping the fixture lasts as long as my sodium one did. I have to add that this fixture was more expensive than I expected them to be. It's just a metal shell, ballast and a bulb.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hugh Very bright. Great to light up a driveway.
Big picture: a TON brighter than other lighting technologies.
If you want to light up your drive way for your kids or for a driveway basketball court, one light does a great job. While more light is always better, one light is plenty good enough. No one will be complaining, nor will anyone be getting hit in the head by a basketball because it was too dark to see it coming in time. It does make a buzzing sound for the first 10 minutes, after which the sound is reduced.
I had an electrician at the house already coincidentally, so I let him install it. Thank goodness. The hardest part is attaching the wiring because it is heavy (for holding above your head while standing on a ladder). The trick is to screw it in a little bit before attaching the wiring, at least in my case.
If you are installing this up high, things that could go wrong include: falling off a ladder, electrocuting yourself, dropping the light and breaking it, etc. Hence, unless you are experienced at this kind of thing, its not a bad idea to find someone who is, even if you have to pay them $75.
