Customer Questions & Answers

Is this fixture available in 72 inch version, using 2, 36 inch flourescent tubes?

Asked by: mynickname
I do not believe there is a 72 inch version of this fixture available. You can look at Lithonia's website for more information under their z series line of fixtures. I believe all of their fixtures use 48" bulbs.

Is this light wired with one electronic ballist and one set of wires.

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, there is only 1 ballast inside the fixture that runs both bulbs. There are enough wires to run two bulbs (there is more information on Lithonia's website for the Z series fixture).

Residential or Commercial Ballasts?

I can't find the specifications for the ballasts. I am using these in a residential environment so I am required to use residential ballasts. Where can I find this information? On the packaging somewhere?
Asked by: JMS1

Customer Reviews

Z Series 8 ft. T8 Fluorescent Tandem Strip Light is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from T8 Flourescent Tandem Strip Light Purchased two of these strip lights to replace two T12 tandem strip lights that were original in a Fox and Jacobs home from the early 1980's. One of the T12 fixtures had a bad ballast, and we decided to "upgrade" to the T8 fixtures as the bulbs are more energy efficient and put out more light/lumens. The light fixtures installed fairly easily. Very little documentation on the box on how to connect every thing up. We recently replaced two 4 foot T12 fixtures that had a nice booklet with instructions inside. Would have been nice for these fixtures too. Only issue is the ballast used in the 8 foot fixture, only contains the black/white wires long enough as if it were single, non-tandem fixture. The house wiring would not reach far enough into the fixture to reach the black/white wires from the ballast. I had to use an 18 inch "jumper" wire for them. Otherwise, the fixtures went up smoothly and are a great replacement for what was there.
