Answer:
This pump is 120 volts. The cost of the battery's and inverter to create 120 volts from 12 volt batteries would be more expensive than a generator, So in that case I would purchase a generator. If you want a battery back up. That is usually done by installing batteries, a charger and a secondary pump that runs directly off 12 volts. You can see them on Home Depot .com by searching for battery back up Read More

I do not think that is a good idea as described. A sump pump should not be tied into a septic system. Due to venting requirements that could create a very dangerous situation and if there is flooding and the pump is pumping that flood water into your septic system id could force solids into the leaching field. Also once the water comes out of washer it is considered sewage and you can;t run sewage into a sump you would need a sealed and vented tank. You may want to look at a product like the Sani Swift. Answer:
By paper, I will assume you mean toilet paper. If so yes it will. The term effluent refers to sewage which would include toilet paper and semi solids. In my experience the next step up would be a straight sewage pump, then a grinder or macerater and finally a trash pump. What these terms refer to is the size and hardness of solids they can handle as well as the way they displace it. When choosing a waste Read More

In my experience the next step up would be a straight sewage pump, then a grinder or macerater and finally a trash pump. What these terms refer to is the size and hardness of solids they can handle as well as the way they displace it. When choosing a waste pump the critical thing is to size it to the job it will handle. You want to the pump to both be the appropriate style for the application and to be sized correctly so it is operating in the sweet spot of the pump curve. Meaning sized to the amount of head that is present. Over sizing can be just as bad as under sizing. Chris 978 651 3301 Read Less

Thank You for the heads up. We will correct this. There recently have been some changes in how information is displayed either Gallons Per Minute (GPM) and Gallons Per Hour (GPH) This pump is rated by the manufacturer in GPM. At 0-5' of head it will pump 50 GPM. At 10' the curve shows 42 GPM. At 20' it pumps 10 GPM. The pump will "dead head" at 23'. If you have any further questions please feel fee to Read More
