The pumping ability is illustrated in a pump curve which is a graph that shows how much it will pump at different amounts of height. You want to size a pump by matching the curve to your application. To make a comparison, a Mack Truck and a Ferrari both may have 500HP but they are going to travel at very different speeds due to the gearing. The same is true with pumps. HP is relevant but not the only factor to be considered. Feel free to give me a call. Chris 978 651 3301 Read Less

Answer:
Pumps are rated on a pump curve. It is a graph where you have gallons per minute on one axis and total dynamic head (height) on the other. You are indicating 300' which I assume to mean distance and not height. Distance has very little effect on flow relative to height. So to tell you what this will pump i really need to know the amount of height from start to where the system dumps in vertical feet. If Read More

If you do mean 300' vertically as in pumping over a 30 story building, you need something much larger. Feel free to give me a call. Chris 978 651 3301 Read Less

Answer:
Having a sewage pumping system that works well and for a long time is not based on buying the "best pump". It is about matching the correctly sized and specified pump with the appropriate installation design. For example over sizing a pump can cause just as many problems as under sizing. If you would like to talk about your specific situation I would be happy to talk to you. You can reach me at 978 651 Read More
