Customer Questions & Answers

Will this pump run on 110/115 volt?

I want to plug into my pure sign wave inverter. The inverter has two three prong plug ins. The power to inverter will be from two 100watt solar panels.
Asked by: gorrilla
As someone has already indicated this pump does not work on 110/115 volts. However I would go a step further. This pump draws 6.8 Amps. I doubt your panels and inverter are going to produce both enough current or a consistent enough current to operate this type of pump. I am concerned that the inconsistency of your current is going to cause the pump to fail prematurely. I would look for a pump specifically designed to work in conjunction with solar and not one intended for use on a consistent power supply.

Hi Alan, Yes you can use this on a 3 wire system. Take a look at page 4 of the instruction/assembly guide. Here you will see a wiring diagram for a 3 wire 3 phase install. Hope that answered your question.

Dear Valued HomeDepot Customer, We reached out to the MFG for more information and below is their response. "This is a two wire pump: meaning it has two hot wires and a ground. It will wire directly to a pressure switch. See diagram attached. "
