Hello,
Thanks for your interest in our telescoping plank. This is a fantastic question.
While our telescoping planks do not have positive lock positions in any specific increments, they do have a patented hook locking feature on both ends of the plank to secure the plank in the preferred position onto the rungs. It is extremely unlikely to slide as long as the hooks are secured onto the rungs and the ladder is used in its proper configuration. This gives the plank the maximum versatility attainable. We also have our 6' Fixed plank which does not have any telescoping abilities if that is preferred.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, good price The walk plank is sturdy, easy to adjust and has good safety features. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well built well built plank. Great for use between extension ladders, and step ladders. December 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by For what I need, I give it 5 stars. I have over 300 bushes and shrubs to prune. I needed something to span between saw horses or step ladders. I was worried at first about the 250 pound limit and the extension strength. I so happens that it worked perfect for my use. I would probably chosen the solid plank if working up high......but the value and satisfaction for my use puts it above all the other products. September 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by well worth the price what else is to say, it's a plank that extends...GREAT Value for the price I payed June 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Light weight flimsy Disappointed on quality wouldn't work on it more than 3' above the ground. I love my little giant ladder however would recommend purchasing a more commercial duty plank. I have worked on wood planks that feel sturdier. June 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Good, solid plank. Nice to get 16'. Keepers on ends are nice touch for security on ladder jacks. Might be better with positive stops. June 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great work plank. feels sturdy, even when fully extended to 16'. Only change would be to have positive locking points. Mine did not slide when not fully extended, but would like the locking feature, maybe at one foot increments. October 9, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by sturdy sturdy platform, use for dock repair, greasing components, etc. May 28, 2013
