I purchased the Little Giant 22' Classic ladder because of all the positive reviews. What I found was less than positive. The weight and maneuverability of this ladder is a bear. I am 6' & 200 lbs and I found it almost impossible to get this ladder positioned and relocated safely myself when near/at full extension. And one must be extremely careful when retracting the ladder from full extension as it t would be really easy to get hurt if not paying close attention to what you are doing. Hence all the warnings in the user manual and on the ladder side. It seems that these multi-position niche ladder try to do too much and end up suffering during basic use. I wouldn't buy this ladder again. Perhaps the smaller versions are more useful than this 22'.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Sandy Finally, a ladder not just for men!!
Of all the products I have purchased, this ladder is definitely the ultimate! I am a 58 year old grandmother and live in a split-foyer home. The little giant ladder is the only one I have ever used that allows me to change light bulbs, paint and clean my home and feel safe doing so. Everyone should have one of these ladders! The advertisement is true: This is the only ladder you will ever need. But beware!! If your neighbors and family find out you have one, you may never get it back!!

Best father's day gift I could have purchased for my husband. Our house has vaulted ceilings, making it hard to paint the walls, resulting in a 3 year procrastination of the project. After that great start, we finally began cutting in and rollering the walls we could reach, but came to a standstill when none of the ladders we owned could allow us to cut in the vaulted ceiling above the stairs...one was too short, one was too long, and neither of them could safely take into account the uneven stairs. The husband lamented not having one of these so he could get the project done, so I took it upon myself to get him one for father's day. He was so happy! After we picked it up, it only took a few more hours to finish the paint job...well worth the money!

I bought the ladder because I wanted one ladder that would do everything around the house, including work on the stairs. This ladder is incredibly flexible. You can vary the height of it in both stepladder and extension ladder mode, and in stepladder mode the length of the two sides can be different. This allows you to have one side vertical in case you have a close clearance, and it allows you to use it on a stairway with one end on the landing and the other partway up, for when you have to repair something on the ceiling above the stairway or do some painting.
Most of all, though, is that this ladder is incredibly stable. Unlike a flimsy stepladder that wobbles all over the place, the Little Giant ladder is like going up a staircase. It doesn't move. It doesn't shake. It feels as solid as a rock, and I feel absolutely safe on it. And the devices that fix it at a given height are absolutely solid too.
If you want one ladder that will do everything, invest in this one. You will not need to replace it. Don't buy an off-brand and don't buy several flimsy ladders instead.
This ladder is everything they say it is.
