This light was extremely difficult to install. The bar recommended for attachment to the ceiling junction box had two fixed screws that were intended to hold the fixture. Those screws were too long and did not fit with my existing ceiling box. I had to use the previous fixture. After about an hour working on that problem, it took an equally long time to attach the fixture itself. It was very difficult to attach the very small round "balls" that held the fixture to the ceiling. For that I also used the ones from my previous fixture.

What a difference this light made in our front entry way. We used to have a 3-bulb hanging lamp that made the room seem dark. Now, it is bright and cheery. The light reflects off the ceiling and emanates through the glass to provide lots of light. The only difficulty with the light is in assembling it. The four bars that go between the mounting fixture and the glass can be a struggle to assemble. I felt like I was bending the mounting fixture surface at times. It just takes some muscle to get it fully assembled. It's not a big deal. But, at first we thought the bars were the wrong size.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LightsOn Good Alternative to a Flush Mount
The light is perfect for a dining room for which a hanging light is not appropriate but for which you want the aesthetics of a hanging light. It's beautiful. However, it took a little effort to get the rods attached. It would be easy to accidentally break the glass if you put too much pressure on while trying to assemble it.

The contractor had a little trouble installing this lighting fixture. But with some fiddling they got it in and it's really wonderful. Simply elegant in our home. Love it!
