Customer Questions & Answers

can this product be used with polyfoam and fabric

we are making mickey mouse ears and are using black craft foam abot 1/8" thick and fabric
Asked by: toots
This epoxy should be fine with just about any fabric. The manufacturer web site says this epoxy is not recommended for "polyethylene or polypropylene" I don't know if polyfoam is one of those materials. I suspect it will work fine but a test run on some scrap material would be a good idea. If the sample looks good after 15 minutes, I bet you can get a dozen sets of mouse ears from one kit. I would not let small children apply the epoxy.

I used it to bond a plastic door latch to the side or our RV. The short set time made it possible to just press the latch in place and hold it there until the epoxy set. The kit comes with two mixing nozzles so you can get two "mixes" and two applications. but unless you are planning on two mixes in the same day or so, the kit is small enough and cheap enough to just toss the kit after the first use and get a fresh kit when the need arises. If you have never used a two part epoxy before, give this a try. The quick set, superior performance will make you glad you did. The mixing tip is a little tough to install but if you have a normal strength grip in you hands and fingers, it is manageable.
