Customer Questions & Answers

Can I use super glue gel to bond cloth material

Asked by: Caw
Yes but if you do it with a flag for example, it will become hard and brittle where the repair was made and can crack.. It would be a better choice to use a flexible type of bonding medium such as clear silicone if what you repair has any type of strong movement after the repair..

would this glue be the right one to bond the sole of a sneaker to the shoe's sole?

the sole of this New Balance shoe came off on me. the shoe is far from being worn out! this sole os just hang'n on!
Asked by: hicky
I would think this product would work very well for that. Because its in a thicker gel form, it should bond nicely.

car emblems

Is this a good product to glue car emblems ?
Asked by: Phoenix
A better solution would be Gorilla glue but remember that it isn't clear so don't use too much or it will show around the emblem.

can i use this to repair dentures

Asked by: bt
Yes it will work on dentures but any super glue isn't the best product and the dental lab will charge you more to fix them permanently. I can vouch for this personally. They have a difficult time removing the hardened super glue before they can repair them. I found that super glue lasts only a very short period before they break again anyhow and adding more glue for the dentist to have to remove. I would contact a local dentist that has his/her own dental lab on site where they can repair them while you wait or at least within a few hours as my dentist is is able to do. The product works very well like any super glue for other repair jobs but there is very little in each bottle. It will dry out in the bottle in short order if not used within a couple weeks just as it does in the tubes. I recommend not buying it until you actually need it. GLUE PLASTIC GLASSES

Asked by: DUSTY
It should work fine as long as you don't put too much pressure on the repaired spot. I would reinforce the repair with monafilament fishing line for a much stronger repair. Repair the glasses, wait until it hardens and then glue on the monafoilament across the repaired break. Use 3-4 lb test line.

4g Ultra Gel Control Super Glue Bottle is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good General Repair Adhesive Used this for general repair throughout my house (indoor and outdoor). Bonds small jobs very well. Applicator is easy to use. No clogged tips. Cap keeps the applicator clear to allow the flow of the adhesive. Quick and easy application. Would like it to come in larger quantity though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Preparation I see many people complaining about the product not working. Don't forget to prepare the area you're applying the glue to. Cut back, or even file the area to assure good contact. And, clean the surface area to be glued with alcohol. I think many will see a big difference in their outcome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did the Trick I grabbed this super glue in order to reattach a solar panel that broke off of a spot light. I like how this bottle works. You twist the top one way to puncture and open the glue. To dispense it you squeeze the sides of the bottle. That really helps to avoid bonding your fingers. Super glue can be hit or miss depending on what you are trying to glue together but this did the trick for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Accurate application. Great texture for vertical application, better than liquid super glue. The cap is a great feature for ez opening and good conservation. Will not buy anything else.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A classic product Super Glue is a classic, it hasn't changed in 50 years - didn't work then, doesn't work now. The packaging gets updated, and this one is the best yet, letting use use every drop as you imagine you're repairing things and then watch them fall apart the next day. The package says it works on 'plastic' - unfortunately, that doesn't seem to include any plastics used in actual products of today. As always, it bonds to skin instantly and well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Super Glue I've ever used! I'm stuck on this stuff, it's my new favorite product! I mean, I like superglue, but this is just ultra awesome! We've truly Gelled! I feel so, in control all of a sudden! Rebuild a broken finger nail? check Secure a rebellious mouse tray to the keyboard tray? check Random acts of semi-permanent bonding? Check Sculpt mold and build with this stuff!! Remember to prep the area first of course!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked for a little while Had to repair my snow brush and I used this to mend the broken handle. It lasted one use and then was broken again. Not sure if its the cold that did it, the plastic it was used on, or my fault for not getting good coverage. I like it that it's not very runny. takes a little while to cure, but also gives you time to get the proper fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bonds very well I have found the Loctite Ultra Gel does a far superior job of adhesion compared to the liquid super glues. Bonds very well, especially on more porous items.
