Product Overview

Loctite Power Grab All-Purpose Clear Construction Adhesive in a squeeze tube is a premium quality, high strength, gap-filling adhesive. This construction adhesive has nine times the tack or instant grab compared to other latex construction adhesives on the market today. It applies white, dries clear, and has an extremely high tack that eliminates the need for nails and screws in many DIY and repair jobs. The adhesive has a very low odor, and requires only soap and water to clean up. This makes it safe, easy to use and environmentally friendly.

I am gluing seashells to lampshades and have been using a glue gun but the shells have a tendency to fall off. Would the all purpose power grab but better? I don't want to have to sit and hold each seashell to the lampshade for the glue to dry. It's an awkward project because most lampshades are slanted.

Please advise.

Thank you,

Answer:
Hello Only1,
While this product has a high initial tack, it will not be instant for what you are doing. I have used this product on lots of things, and it is a great glue. However, with seashells on an angled surface it is going to be difficult for this glue to grab. You won't need to hold the shells in place until it dries completely, 30 seconds should be long enough.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the money I tried gluing a plastic certificate frame to a wooden wall and found this stuff to be useless, wouldn't hold and fell right off. I added more and held it for a couple minutes and still fell right off. Then got a rag with warm water and washed it all off and threw the rest of the tube in the garbage. I should have tried liquid nails it was right next to this stuff. March 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great For Wall Tiles Loctite worked great for installing Dimensions Faux Tin Style Wall Tiles. March 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work for me I attempted to attach small pieces of wood trim to painted drywall and this glue would not hold! I held the trim in place for at least 2 minutes and even tried to let the glue get tacky before putting the piece on the wall with no success. Maybe this is user error but couldn't get it to stick after an hour of trying. At least it was easy to clean up off of the wall and trim... September 24, 2015
