Some of the reviews indicate that it cannot be applied like caulk, because the bead is too thick and takes a long time to dry. So what are the guide lines for applying this product. Thin bead, spread bead with a putty knife??

Answer:
Loctite Power Grab should be applied directly from the cartridge, in a 1/4" bead. It should not be buttered or spread. Apply it to only one surface.

Answer:
Loctite Power Grab Heavy Duty could work for that application, but a better option would be Loctite PL Premium as it delivers a stronger bond and superior weather resistance to these types of materials. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-PL-Premium-10-fl-oz-Polyurethane-Construction-Adhesive-1390595/202020473

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This stuff is lousy THE FIRST TUBE SPLIT,USED THE SECOND TUBE AND IT HAS BEEN 3 ,HOURS NOW AND IT HAS NOT DRIED,AM GOING TO HAVE TO CLEAN OFF THE PANELS AND FIND SOMETHING ELSE April 24, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not working when wet (moisture) The product works great on a perfect scenario. This product canNOT be used as an EXTERIOR adhesive. a minimum moisture will make it soft and ... you will have a problem. Just wait for a heavy rain...Good luck. (Oh yes... the products was fully cured -weeks-) October 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than liquid nails I have used this product on ceramic tile, pvc moulding, mdf beadboard paneling, and wood. It sticks firmly and fast, unlike liquid nails which takes a while before getting sticky. It has worked great every time. The one time it didn't stick instantly was when I gobbed it on too thick on wainscoting... so I put one screw in the middle to hold it in place while it dried, then it was perfect - with just one screw tacking it in place, the ends didn't sag or anything while the adhesive set up - it was that sticky. Every other time, it held fast with no problem at all. It's disgustingly humid here, but the humidity doesn't affect this product. I'd recommend this all day long. May 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better then foamboard pl Tried foamboard PL on my foundation walls and never held, then I went to Home Depot and bought this product and just a few dots of it behind rigid insulation and in seconds it grabbed. Definitely recommend this product if you don't want to put concrete nails into your foundation walls to hold insulation up. August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nate the Carpenter I've been using this producted for various projects over a long period of time. The bonding power is excellent for base boards, panelling, and small mouldings. It does not dry completely clear when applied heavy. Best uses I've found are applying base board where water pipes may be located or when a nail gun and compressor are a pain to unload and set up to attach a 6 inch piece of trim. Another is replacing a piece of tile in a bath room or kitchen. Better than using a trowel and making a mess. Good for small repairs and installations would not use for areas that carry a lot if weight or pressure. Clamping may be required in some situations. Amazing product!!! February 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy!! Made two attempts to adhere a 2" x 2" x 18" wood strip to a cleaned and flat vertical metal wall (shipping container.) First try of 30 seconds holding: wood strip slid down wall and fell on floor. Second try of 2-1/2 minutes of holding strip against wall- same results. Strip was new, clean and flat and covered liberally with Loctite- no excuse!! . May 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great Don't understand why people are having trouble with this product. Just follow the directions and it will work great. January 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful! Not a long term deal. Used this for a concrete figurine I had broken. Initially held very well. Says it dries clear but always looked filmy. Also any moisture will soften the glue and it becomes playable again. I had numerous pieces fall off after becoming slightly damp! I placed all my pieces in a tub of water and with light scrubbing all the glue that had cured softened and came right off. November 8, 2014
